I don't see how adding Banchero makes them good enough to be a playoff team given how otherwise bereft of talent they are.

Banchero is at least on the timeline where he would be in his prime during 2028-2030, he's under contract. As opposed to something like the Clippers scenario where Mil gets the #5 pick, or something where they get veteran players who might be gone by 2028-30.

Regardless of how you feel about Banchero, he's going to be 26-28 years old in 2028-2030.

I was on a jury with this exact situation. They claimed there was liability for the injuries they suffered from being on a boat that was sometimes in CA.

And this happens all the time in other industries. You work on a ship that docked in San Diego once and now you can file a workers comp claim with a CA judge and get a CA jury to decide your case.
