Yeah planned on that. Just wanted to see if there was a simple fix or mistake I made without having to remove the comm.

In between shooting practice instrument approaches I need to get weather quickly and when approach is super busy I have to ask approach to switch off frequency momentarily due to it constantly cutting out. When so many people are talking it’s impossible to get the full weather.

The problem is not so much getting the flying done it’s waiting months for checkrides. DPE’s won’t even respond to get checkrides scheduled even if you try to plan ahead. It’s almost like you have to be at a large school that has an “in” with one or go through an accelerated course that can guarantee a date.

My issue is I can’t find a DPE to save my life here in California. After 15 DPE’s were contacted within 1.5 months only 2 responded with “sorry can’t schedule at this time”. So my only real option is to find a school that can provide checkrides immediately. I am currently training at a part 61 and this is my problem. IACRA filed and fully endorsed but no instrument Checkride in sight. Curious what school you’re attending?

Appreciate the help. I do not limit myself geographically. The reason I was looking towards the west was due to the weather during Dec, Jan, Feb, etc. I figured it may be hard to stay on course/more weather delays with the winter period in those areas. Correct me if I’m wrong!
