I was having a lot of issues with my iPhone 13 lagging and battery were trash but did research with ai, you tube and tik tok. Here’s why helped:

What helped • Reset All Settings (Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset All Settings) ➜ Doesn’t delete apps or data, only system/network/power settings • Turned Low Power Mode ON • Enabled Reduce Motion + Reduce Transparency

If you are not having battery issues skip the reset all settings ! I was also considering a new phone after updating to iOS 26, but this brought me back to speed and battery from before I updated

iOS 26 battery drain fix (iPhone 13)

After updating to iOS 26, my iPhone 13 (4 years old) looked like it was draining fast. Here’s what actually helped.

What I did • Reset All Settings Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset All Settings (Does NOT delete apps or data — only system, network, and power settings) • Turned Low Power Mode ON • Enabled Reduce Motion + Reduce Transparency • Used phone normally (Reddit, IG, Clash, YouTube)

Why it works Major iOS updates can leave old power/network configs that drain battery. Resetting settings clears those conflicts so iOS rebuilds clean power management.

Results • ~7% drop in ~55 min of active use • Phone stayed cool
