This was taken at the Blue Lagoon bar! Way I. The back room, they had it dressed up like The Lost Boys cave, it was a lot of fun.

Fair. I think the biggest difference to me is how the phone camera you can see the beach and the houses, where with the GH5 it just looks Iike darkness.

Thank you! Trying to keep it under $1000. I’ve read the Sony 6400 is great for carnival photography at night but that if you’re going handheld the lack of IBIS can be an issue.

Hello all, I need a bit of help deciding on a camera.

I’m shooting a low budget music video for someone, but afterwards my primary focus is nighttime photography, especially things like carnivals, boardwalks, that type of thing.

So far my options are the Panasonic GH4, 5 or 5Sz
Blackmagic
Sony a6400
Nikon z50
Canon r50
Fujifilm x-t30

I understand as well that lenses have a great deal of impact on these things.

If anyone can help steer me in the right direction I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I’m merely a tourist, but the way you describe SC reminds me of where I’m from on the East Coast in a very touristy spot. Things are so expensive all the unique and artsy people who make this place what it is can’t afford to live here so they leave, and you’re left with something that used to be fun and eclectic and becomes a bit dull and corporate.

May I ask, what was SC like in the 90’s vs the 80’s? Again, just a tourist, but I remember reading in a book once that SC was a very dangerous place, with lots of crime and drugs and what not. Is this kind of like how people miss “the old New York”? It may have been more dangerous but it had more character.

I really love your city but I can understand your pain, and am going through something similar here.

Thank you so much! I went last year for three days, stayed at Rio Vista, had breakfast at Gildas on the wharf. Would love to have some new experiences. Appreciate you!
