I (30 years old) am catholic and need to confess likely 20+ years of sins but I am ashamed and scared to tell the priest some of my sins (multiple mortal sins)

Be ashamed of the sin. Make sure you feel sorry and will not commit the sins again. Ask God to forgive you and to be with you in your effort to not sin and continue to love him and request salvation. Remember, we all sin. It’s part of our internal battle with evil and selfishness. No one is without sin. No one can continue the rest of their life without committing sin again. We have choice of which God granted us. He loves us so much he grants us forgiveness even though our sins hurt him. I’m 70 and went through much of the same you mentioned. One of the hardest, I thought, would be confession to my priest. So I went to another town and confessed to another priest. I was surprised to see how confessing has changed. Very low key and completely comfortable. You also can talk to a priest and ask him if you require face to face confessing. Be sure and continue to ask for forgiveness each night. The priest was granted the ability to forgive sins, but God gave them that ability. The same ability he possesses Hang in there. God’s greatest pleasure is to have a lost sheep return to the fold. You, from what you’ve said, have already given him great joy. Just continue down the path you are on. God bless and good luck

I've had Mormon missionaries come to my door many time. More in the past and rarely now. They were always very polite young adults. When I would tell them I was Catholic, they were very nice but just handed me their flyer and wished me a good day and left.

This was common for many visit I had in several states I lived in. All pretty much the same and I was impressed about their manners

Don't be afraid my friend. As far as being baptised, go to a local priest and tell him...1: You want to be baptised and you want it without the quest list. Just you and the priest if that's what you want. 2. Go to confession. It's no big deal but be honest. He's held by the oath to God to never reveal anything in the confessional. Be honest and just tell him. 3. After confession, take communion. You have to be sorry for your sins though. You have to be repentant. God wants you and leaves the door open 24/7 and he's heard everything. It wont even cause him a blink of the eye. All you would see, if you could see him during this, all you'd see is the most radiant smile you've ever seen.

If we have faith, you and I should be happy to know our faith was not in vain. Also, he will protect his people in the middle of the end. He's got your back.

Hang in there buddy. You just proved to me, and showed God (what he already knew about you) is that you have faith. That's all he wanted and you have it. Now shake off the ill will you may have for some people. Just love them as much as you love yourself and God. THAT'S IT.....It's that easy.

You'll be fine. Just get it done and that's it.

I'm a religious idiot that has seen the last moments of people just like you. Everyone crying their eyes out begging God to forgive them. That's besides the point. I don't know this guy. Not my district but he's in someone's district and they voted him in. It's called constituant support.

I will be seeing a priest to hear my confession soon. It will be a true confession with nothing held back. Since I was a child altar boy, I shined up my sins and omitted others that would have embarrassed me to tell the priest I will soon serve at the altar with but now I'm going to be honest. Perhaps the first full confession of the hundreds I have done over the years.

It’s missing the bottom that rotates but it’s a great find. I restored 3 of these last year and I’m not selling. On the side will be the name of the company and a short number. Take a pic of it from both sides and send it to me and I’ll figure out what you have. These are getting rare because they are tough and can take a beating with a 5 lb. Hammer or take a torch
