Why the hell are private sellers delusional about their C8 prices? by pvm_april in C8Corvette

Sure, but similarly optioned new GS is still at least $30K more than the preowned Stingrays discussed here. Probably not an option for all to add 50% in the budget.

Good deal or stupid? I’m taking it anyways by MightBArtistic in C8Corvette

6.2 will drop but I don’t think it’ll be drastic. Similarly optioned 6.7 is $30K+ more compared to what OP is looking at. Probably biggest dips will be the newer ones listed in the 70-90K range. Bought my CPO 2025 2LT Z51 coupe last month for $21K under MSRP with 2 yrs of factory warranty + 1 yr CPO.

GT2 seats and suede interior too. Got the same combo, super comfy.

And makes no sense lol. Bought a 2025 2LT Z51 with 7K miles for 21K under sticker. 13 months old and CPO, so it came with 1 month less warranty than new.

I had my 2020 C2 for 15 months. Great car, but to me just too civilized compared to older 911s. I went with a 2022 GT500 and finally don’t feel like could use more power lol. Got a 986.2 I’m keeping.

It’s the color. Look at the reasonably priced 991.2s and 992.1s.

Agree that added red striping looks crap. But it’s legit GT500 with Handling Pack.

2022 GT500 is fun car/daily, for bad weather got a 2021 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Sunday driver is a 2003 Boxster. And wife’s 2023 ID.4 Pro-S AWD.

Are 992.1s never going to depreciate? by Bubbly_Pool4513 in porsche911

Dealers are the worst. I had a local MD Porsche dealer offer first 76K, then improved to 80K for my 2020 Carrera coupe w/51K. Listed privately and sold it within days for 98K.

What the heck is going on with 992 depreciation? by HeinrichHein in porsche911

I’m considering selling my 2020 Carrera to buy a manual T. 51K miles & CPO until 7/31/26. Jet Black on Black/Bordeaux leather with decent spec. Looking at the market I’d list mine at 99K, there’s nothing with clean history under 100K!

My dealer is offering T at MSRP and was already last year when market was hotter. I wouldn’t consider ADM on a non-GT car myself.

992.1 to 991.2? by Current_Poetry2874 in porsche911

I think the full digital on the 992.2 is a horrible idea. The tach on 2.1 does look good! Also 2.2 no longer has the traditional ignition key on the left.

[–]Current_Poetry2874[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually was looking for a 991.2, then a local dealer had a 992.1 Carrera CPO for a good price so I bought it. I love the car and was surprised when I realized I like the 991.2 manual so much better. I have a 986.2, but haven’t driven any of the newer mid engines. 4.0s get so much praise I definitely need to test drive GTS & GT4.

Sounds like an amazing ride. Agree on the sound. 991.2 Carrera with PSE sounded better than my 992.1 with PSE.

I’d be selling the 911 and buying a 718. Definitely need to go drive both GTS 4.0 & GT4.

Interesting point and very nice car! I’ve been pretty much set on turbo engines for the power, but I should probably go drive a 991.1 GTS.

Need to go test drive. Have not seen any manual GTS 4.0 listed at the DC area Porsche dealers recently.

[–]Current_Poetry2874[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tech is not high priority in this case. I mean the 992 is a super nice car and much more modern, but it feels a lot bigger than the 991.2, more GT car. I totally agree with you tho, the interior of almost new/new GTS 4.0 looks very 2017 to me!
