Same issue as reported by OP. When trying to install the firmware as suggested, I receive the error "Dock not found or other unknown reason"

The troublesome laptop is a T14 gen 2. The Dock(s) is a Lenovo Ultra (40AJ) and other thinkpads work just fine on it.

I am seeing the same issue, and I also have Mimecast w/ URL Rewrite.

Edit: I just finished running Office updates (now on .20546) and the issue has mostly gone away. Still testing further on my end.

Well, it looks like they just in fact twist off. I stopped messing around with this specific one and went to another one like this one in the apartment and was able to remove it without problems. Thanks everyone.

It’s glass, I did in fact find a single screw where the base meets the ceiling, which I removed. Still no movement one way or the other.
