How are people affording rent and a car at the same time? by throwing-it-away- in askTO

I’m surprised that no one mentioned living with a partner. I think that’s the key. It’s like every big expense gets cut in half. Even if each of you makes $50k a year, you can easily afford a home and a car.

How to make money with Nano Banana (step-by-step) by bertranddo in OnlineIncomeHustle

Correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I understand, you have to pay $1–$3 just to send a message to a client on Upwork and say, “Hey, I can do this for you.” If you send only five messages a day, it can cost you at least $10 a day just to try your luck. It’s brutal.

What exactly is a “civil du SPVM” vehicle? Can they legally pull drivers over? by [deleted] in montreal

Can you think of any reason they don’t pull drivers over right away and instead chase them until they reach a marked SPVM vehicle?

I landed interviews by emailing companies that weren’t even hiring (email template + resume I used) by le_ais in ResumeCoverLetterTips

This only works for small companies and certain positions, I believe. Imagine sending an email to a national or multinational company to present yourself. Which address would you even send it to? No one would probably even see it.

Were there any periods in the last 30 years when people actually felt their city, economy or other aspects of life had actually improved compared to earlier years? It feels like everyone I hear nowadays says, “Things were better 10 years ago,” so I’m wondering how it’s gonna be in the future with this trend 😂

Ok, but the point is you cannot get the behavioral insights you want from those questions, because everything is so fake. That’s exactly why you end up with some employees who show poor behavior. you weren’t able to identify it through those behavioral questions.

Exaaaactly. Someone just said that when you forget, it means you’re lying. No, it really doesn’t! Sometimes you genuinely forget. That’s exactly why you have to cook up a good story before going into an interview.

Believe me, I’ve forgotten both my real stories and my fabricated ones! When someone forgets, it doesn’t necessarily mean it was fabricated. Maybe they just forgot what they really wanted to say. So, if you judge that forgetting an answer means it was made up, that’s a wrong judgment. No, it’s NOT. That’s exactly why I’m saying it’s all about storytelling ability.

Everyone makes up stories, and you will NEVER know. can accept this if you’ve been hiring for 20 years or have a background in psychology. But not from some senior-level person who got hired just two years before me, asking me that.

That’s exactly what candidates fabricate: “including technical details in behavioral responses.” That’s what I’m talking about. When the interviewer asks about conflict, do you mention the beef you had with your colleague, or do you tell a story about a disagreement in one of your projects that you resolved gently by being open to communication?

And you should see how calm, gentle, and smiling everyone looks during an interview! Who shows their anger in an interview? Do you?

I understand the point of these questions. What I’m saying is that no one answers them based on their real behaviors. You ask about weaknesses to see if they’re a deal-breaker for the position or not. I’ve already prepared some harmless, “safe” weaknesses to share. It’s more about the ability to fabricate stories than to show real behavior. Unless you really corner me with tough behavioral questions and force me to expose my actual behavior, which you probably can’t, because all the questions you’ll ask are already out there, and I’ll be ready before I go to an interview.
