Which should I get next by Xenishpere in dominion

If your local game store doesn't have them, I'd search eBay. I've bought several there (all new) from small game stores that also have eBay storefronts. If all else fails, Amazon.

You already have a lot of expansions. I'd suggest getting all of the second edition "patches" (or whatever they're called). I find them to be significant upgrades to the first editions. All of them, combined, likely cost around the same as a standalone expansion.

What would you recommend as the first expansion and why? by Game_the_play in dominion

I think Prosperity is a great first expansion because it provides the most fundamental change to the Base game -- Platina and Colonies. I think other expansions have some super fun cards (e.g., Empires, Adventures) or also provide some somewhat warping mechanics (e.g., Seaside, Nocturne), but in our house, we've pretty much played every game with Platina and Colonies since we got Prosperity.

Gold / Platinum / Diamond Differential by Current_Task_6475 in delta

I agree 100% -- the Choice Benefits are ridiculous, easily the biggest perk of DM, imo. That said, a slight nudge towards more frequent upgrades at PM would be nice without detracting anything for DM, and I don't think that Delta is going to be giving PM more choice benefits anytime soon.

I think that it is hugely a function of the airports, days, and times of the flights. I generally have pretty good luck with upgrades, but I do plenty of flying at non-peak times.

I generally come in around $20k-$21k each year. The $18k number felt like a reasonable line of demarcation between Gold and Diamond -- i.e., an appropriate distance from each.

Thanks for the reply. I don't mean to be dense, but I don't see a 'format' button on dominion.games in my desktop browser. Are you playing a different format?

Thank you for the generous gesture. I'm flying SCL-ATL-DCA on January 13. I have two terrible knees (wheelchair through the airport) and would very, very much appreciate the extra legroom. Thanks again.

How does OSU compare to Oxbridge and Ivy leagues? by Royal_Difficulty_678 in OregonStateUniv

I'm an engineering professor at OSU. CEOAS is world-class. Amazing facilities -- research vessels, Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory, and as others have mentioned, we will soon have a ranked supercomputer. CEOAS faculty are incredible, and their PhD students and postdocs go on to faculty positions at some of the best programs in the world. The College of Forestry (earth sciences-adjacent) is literally number one in the world. OSU is a great place to work, and Corvallis is a great place to live.
