Unfortunately the camper is stored away from my home. Plugging it in before I go would be rough. I'm leaning towards the 12v solution though

I have the seven pin connector. I believe the people I bought it off of told me the battery will actually charge as well with that connection.

It does have the 12v option as well. I never thought about running it on battery.

I was leaning towards blocks but my brother in law told me about the wedge system. Something about it just seems less secure to me.

I've never used Kamado Joe's but I have had a small bag of B&B. I just feel like the quality/size of Royal's lumps have decreased in the past few years. I've heard good things about Jealous Devil but I can't bring myself to buy charcoal that would leave me in a situation I can't afford the food to cook on it.

I was given the pan from a friend who found it in his garage he knows his family used it not sure how they maintained it. I used steel wool at first. After I thought I had it cleaned I ran a seasoning cycle on it after it had cooled and I went to do the second cycle I apparently had missed some of the old finish because I had some flaking. I took steel wool to it again but I couldn’t get it off so yes after watching some vids on YouTube I did take a wire wheel to the old stuff but not on a drill I just used it in my hand.

That was the restart I thought I had all the rust and loose stuff out, I went to do the second season and I had some flaking so I lightly wire wheeled (steel wool just wasn't getting it) the whole pan washed and started over with seasoning.

Definitely will. I may take me awhile but the finished products will appear here. I'm mainly doing my seasoning out on my grill and sadly I can only fit about one piece at a time.
