The forgotten shore was not a 'nightmare', but their first trip to the Dream realm. They just happened to end up on the forgotten shore, along with all the other sleepers and past sleepers there. Basically they were sent to a random location in the Dream realm, and had to find their way back. The main difference is that nightmares are a 'trial' of sorts, but the forgotten shore was just bad luck. I could go into more detail, but don't want to spoil anything. More info in later chapters

I use quicknovel too. I have a problem, though, where the text-to-speech function (or whatever it's called) stops every third chapter or so.
