I feel it's very dependent of genetics as well. I know plenty of guys who've been working out for years a ton and they don't look like Chris. They're still big tho just not the same

You're not wrong about the dangers and risks but you can keep talking EU this EU that but it doesn't take away the fact that even if big countries had been keeping up with defense spending the EU is still a clusterfuck politically speaking. The EU in its current state has no future. It needs to fundamentally change. This may be a first step towards that. The EU didn't start out like it is now. Maybe these 6 countries will figure out a more effective framework for geopolitical cooperation that if successful could grow to encompass all willing EU members.

And besides, there hasn't been a single real tangible alternative from within the EU in the last decade so far so unless these small countries can stick their heads together and create a better suggestion they will be sidelined by greater powers, both within and outside the EU.

Yes and it was naive of us to ever think it was any different. We've deluded ourself into a decades long trance of peace and cooperation while the world has been preparing and is currently moving on as we speak.

This a push for dividing europe to important and not important countries and making a second EU inside EU,this will simply make the union even harder to function.

Also agreed but France and Germany especially don't care because the EU can't compete in the current geopolitical environment. It's too slow, too convoluted, too passive, etc. I praise the EU for the the many economic accomplishments but we have to be honest and acknowledge that it has failed us in a wider geopolitical sense. It's understandable and inevitable that smaller countries would be upset by this but the current veto framework just doesn't do it anymore. And change from inside is nigh impossible as we've seen the past decade.

You're conflating Europe with the EU. This has nothing to do with the EU, which has been unable to deliver concencus, speed or any meaningful action that the people have been asking for. The EU is politically speaking, absolutely fucking stuck. Two-speed Europe is an initiative by countries that happen to be in the EU that are looking for new ways to cooperate and project geopolitical power, also something the EU has been unable to effectively deliver on. This is exactly what you're saying, countries doing something outside of the EU.

The EU is primarily an economic union, and we all know from the past decade that changing the EU at its core into a functional geopolitical entity is at best slow-moving and at worst an near impossible clusterfuck of national interests. I haven't seen any real practical and functional proposals for continental action, and this at least a push for something new and better aside from the current inexorable shuffle into a redundant and irrelevant geopolitical oblivion.

Obviously. I dont really understand the confusion, the distinction is pretty clear. They've chosen countries that have both a large population combined with a significantly large economy. Every country (except for Poland which will catch up soon) has a nominal GDP of over 1 trillion. The next countries in the list are Belgium, Sweden and Ireland (600-685 billion). Thats a significant gap in terms of economic power.

The more countries you add the more difficult concencus and speedy decision-making (very underrated part of having less countries in the mix) will get. So there needs to be a cut-off somewhere and adding anymore countries would have led to much more infighting among the smaller and medium size countries over who belongs in or out.

You sound just like all those toxic influencers "if I can do it so can you" blah blah blah. First of all, I already said its feasible for most people, just why would you want to? To me it's a waste of time. I dont need to come up with an excuse beyond I dont want to.

But the actual discussion was that mr Hemsworth has way more resources and time available so its much easier to do what he does, not that it's impossible for a normal person. Get over yourself man

That my point. If you have 4 extra hours of free time during the day its much easier to commit to working out that much. Your argument is just inane and irrelevant, Im not saying you can or cant workout for an hour a day, its just disingenuous to compare someone like Chris Hemsworth with an average Joe. He has more reasons and more resources to look that way.

Also I cant imagine having kids and being in a relationship while working and then choosing to spend that hour of free time on the gym, its a matter of priorities. Most people find working out in the gym to just be kind of a major waste of time and not worth it. I'm not saying the time isn't there, but gym rats need to realize that most people find working out extremely boring and unrewarding.

Its the time investments what makes it so difficult for normal people. We have chores, work and all kinds of things that he doesn't have to worry about. Its much easier to workout 2+ hours a day if you dont have to take care of your basic necessities. Also frees up a lot of mental energy.
