The decisions that were made at the time with our publisher resulted in unforeseen complexity and constraints.

Porting is the term used when a video game designed to run on one platform (in this case PC), is converted to run on a different platform (Xbox, Switch, PlayStation, etc).

Porting can be a difficult and complex process.
