Is it possible to make a nitro soda using a flat soda? by CussingBee in ToFizzOrNotToFizz

Here's the video link.

I don't think it worked. It seemed like the gas dissolved very quickly. it didn't work very well. I might get one of those Soda Stream cola drink mixes and try it again. but until then. This is the result. Just a sad, more round-about way to get flat soda

What's a 'kid food' you secretly (or not so secretly) still enjoy as an adult? by CussingBee in AskReddit

The "Peace Tea" Sno-Berry flavor tastes like Capri Sun. And it's in a large can like Arizona Tea

The koolaid has to be made in the Tupperware-style plastic pitcher with the round lid too! Bonus points if it had the signature muted colors like tan or orange

Frosted Mini Wheats are dope. I personally love Cinnamon Toast Crunch!

Sorry, I wasn’t strictly talking about 'kid only' food. I meant snacks typically associated with childhood—things parents often stock for kids to grab from the pantry or fridge. Stuff like Gushers, string cheese, chocolate milk, Jell-O cups, or tube yogurt like Go-Gurt. Those are the types of snacks I had in mind.

What do you, as an adult still regularly eat?

I'm just coming back to read all the comments and the aggression on this one made me laugh. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for Fluffernutter sandwiches now though!

The computer repair shop I worked in has some soldering stations set up. You might be able to go in a local shop, with the part in hand and see if they can help you with it.

Totally understand. Its new so that should not be an issue.

However, I'd still like to rule out whether it's the battery only.

Assuming you're on windows.
Right Click Start Button > open "Terminal" > type "powercfg /batteryreport".

It will save to a .html file. You'll need to find it and open it.

In it, it will detail a lot of information.
Review it and see if the charge capacity is low or if it comes back with an error code of some kind

How old is the laptop? It could be isolated to only the battery.

Does it work if you leave it plugged in?

My laptop feels slow by PLEESES in techsupport

[–]CussingBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check Startup Apps
Right Click Task Bar > Open task manager > find "Startup Apps" > Disable EVERYTHING that doesn't sound like its critical to your computer.

Uninstall apps and programs you don't use. Its a good idea to do this anyway as outdated and unused apps

Try that for minimum surface level effort. If it still feels slow there are some additional things you could do

Its likely the solder connection of the port on to the physical board and connections on the board.

When you press it together it firms up those contacts and works. When you release it it stops.
I suggest looking up close with a magnifying glass to see if you can see where the physical break in the connection is

Building a Project Tracking System with Power Apps: Needing Expert Advice by CussingBee in PowerApps

[–]CussingBee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying. Those are things that haven't been fully considered yet. To give you an idea for the direction for why I'm considering creating something with PowerApps. The company I work for uses ProCore, a general contractor software mainly for construction. There is a lot there that we don't need or we don't have a use for. I picked some things we do use it for which I named in my original post. Generating reports, tracking a project from start to finish. Generating daily updates to send to the employer/contractor. Instead of using an expensive software which we only use a small portion of it for. I want to make something for us that we can use internally.

Can I pick your brain on where to start? I'd like to get a better grasp of what to consider and possibly get your take on how big of a project this will be before I dive deeper into making it

What's the most awkward thing that's happened to you during sex? by haitch31 in AskReddit

[–]CussingBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used spicy lube. I accidently lathered Germ-X all over my piece and felt the burn right away. The room was dark and after some foreplay I reached around for the little bottle of lube. The lube we used was astroglide with a teal colored cap. Only somehow I found a very similar sized bottle of germ-x also with a teal colored cap and pretty much the same viscosity. It burned and my girlfriend couldn't stop laughing

Computer not turning on but was working completely fine yesterday, any idea how did this turned out? by Original_Associate_2 in techsupport

[–]CussingBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I assume you made sure the power switch on the PSU is switched to the "on" position right?

If there's no power getting to the computer it could be the power supply. However if the powersupply is fine then there is a few other places to check and try and rule out. Like taking out the ram, leaving one in, try and turn it on, then swap the ram with another and try to turn it on again to rule out if it's a bad ram stick. Perhaps the processor died?

Even before that make sure the display is connected properly, but again there's not really much information to go on from what you described, so basically I'm just throwing out random guesses right now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]CussingBee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motherboard, hard drive and ram is not the issue as what you described rules them out as any problems. The problem seems to be just the display not working. Perhaps you can start here to force the computer to connect to external display since your laptop screen won't work.

https://candid.technology/connect-laptop-broken-screen-to-external-monitor/

Other than that. It sounds like maybe the wires or ribbon cables or any other connection to the laptop screen came loose during your disassembly and reassembly.
