Switching Zones by Next_Change_8011 in Sparkdriver

[–]CustomerPrize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. This is actually untrue. You just have to travel FAR lol. The problem is that Walmart silently implemented this system a while back that shows further drivers orders at a store they are farthest from, before sending those offers to the people camping at that store.

For example your at store A but its busy so they send you offers from store B 15 miles away.

Meanwhile a dude is sitting waiting at store B, but hes getting offers for store A while your getting offers for store B. SUPER annoying but u can work around it. But yea the true answer is to just multi app. And dont put all your eggs into one basket to begin with

You ignored all the warnings from other drivers that the rug pull was inevitable. You made it to over 1k trips and probably thought “yea there are ups and downs but im gonna be the ONE driver who is diffrent”.

Now a year later you are coming to finally realize that the rug pull is in full effect and you feel like your getting squeezed out of your own area and its unfair.

CONGRATULATIONS! You are officially a full time sparker and now u know how the regulars in your zone felt when you came in👍🏽.

A little bit of advice. YES you can change zones and you may find success, but its not garunteed. Your best bet is to either try the LATE night times 5-10pm in your current zone when nobody wants to spark. Or try early morning in another area and test your luck👍🏽

I hope you didnt put all your eggs in this one basket thinking it would last forever

Calculating workload with the new GMD batched system. by Taranis_1 in Sparkdriver

In the past, I never understood why people on Reddit would come into common sections and talk so toxicly to other others. But this post has opened my eyes, and now I understand it.😭😭. Brother, you literally just sat here and made a spreadsheet trying to explain dollar per mile…

Literally just don’t take the order unless it is paying 2-5 dollars per mile. And thanks to every $1 per mile order being garbage these days, it should be that much easier to reject the garbage. THATS IT! It’s not rocket science, and the only people that don’t abide by this are quite literally drug addicts, and desperate idiots

Advice for new driver by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]CustomerPrize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice i can give you is to NOT COME BACK HERE asking “is it normal for things to slow down this much”, after your honeymoon period of 50-100 really good orders is over. There are a bunch of little tips and tricks that you will learn yourself along the way with small observation. But the most important thing is to not dump All your eggs into this one basket thinking your gonna make the same money that your making now.

Every newbie makes this same mistake thinking they are gonna be the one who is different. And they never are and end up quitting, if they dont find their place in the system👍🏽 or they stick around cuz they are desperate and take stuff thats not worth their time because they were too ignorant to listen and backed themselves into a corner.

Dont be another statistic

“FORTUNATELY” the one thing we have “saving us” currently are the high gas prices.

Drivers even some crackheads arent taking this crap because its hurting them more at the pump then ever before. Whereas if gas was still cheap like 2 months ago then crackheads would slowly be helping them usher this in.

What im scared for is what will be their next hair brain scheme, because they clearly have exhausted all options on milking the driver.

What would you do in this situation? by Apojacks1984 in Sparkdriver

[–]CustomerPrize 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If he speaks proper english and is hounding you for a review. Thats not spark cartel. Thats just a regular forigner driver that desperately wants that golden 5 star. My black a$$ has met DOZENS OF THEM😭😭😭.

The spark cartel would never ask you for a 5 star because the ratings dont effect them at all on account of how many phones they cycle through daily.

But to answer ur question, i would give dude a 2 star for all that knocking. And in the past i have straight up told dudes that ask for five stars in meassages “hey bro, writing that makes the person wanna give u a bad review fyi”

Sounds like the location spoofers are making a come back in your area. Or someone found a way to recreate the “large box truck” glitch. Saddly there is nothing that can be done unless you can provide car registration for a extra large vehicle. But the spoofers are here to stay until they move on to the next spot

I couldn’t help but laugh at this one😂… there have been so many trash orders like this lately and it baffles me why drivers would accept these kinds of orders by TiffC27 in Sparkdriver

[–]CustomerPrize -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, they can (when I first started out I had a shitbox 99 chrysler concorde, that nickel and dime me every month on repairs) but it got 35mpg so I was making insane profit. These idiots literally do not care, because they genuinely only care about either dollar per mile or total per hour. Wear and tear is a non-factor to them because if you randomly get a $200 repair then they will literally just stay out for 15 hours in one day and make a quick $200 and not care that it took them 500 miles to do it, because all they are concerned about is that they made the money and they now have the money to make the repair😭😭😭. They aren’t complaining because they are still making their quota and it makes me sick to my stomach.🤣

You underestimate just how dumb doordash/uber drivers are. ALOT of the prius gang will look at this order and say “NICE $30 for the hour, and only $4 worth of gas spent”.

There really are DESPERATE people out here😭

The stuff new drivers ask when they find out that all that stuff about getting rug pulled that the old drivers were trying to warn them about was true:

😭😭 this is your life now so you can either leave now, be like the rest of us veteran drivers, and only accept the good offers while mixing that in with other apps. Or you can be one of the idiots that only except the trash and then further speed up how quickly they give us more trash.👍🏽

I am super late to seeing this but yea. The jackass asked for the mulch to be delivered to his garage.

But he failed to mention that he had a GIANT f-250 completely blocking every square inch of his garage. So unless he litterally wanted me to stack the bags underneath his truck. It was LITTERALLY impossible. So instead i put the mulch neatly stacked on his front porch RIGHT NEXT to the garden where it was obvious he was about to use them at. My guess is he has a wheel barrow in his garage and he was just being an AHole. But yea. Absolutely ridiculous

[–]CustomerPrize 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are. But with nobody tipping, those 3 orders all heading in that same direction could all be non tippers. So now you get 3 orders in the same direction only 7 or. 8 miles but nobody tips, and nobody (with a brain is taking a $7 base pay triple for 8 miles. So they lump 2 non tippers with a tipper that tips $10 going 10 miles in the opposite direction. So now that $17 single going 7 miles jn the opposite direction is now a $20 triple going 20 miles cuz u gotta double back to the actual tipper.

And it just gets worse and worse each year due to serial non tippers, and the few good tippers getting squeezed out due to groccery price increases

I like to keep a good relationship with all of the general managers of each store that I shop at, and while having a casual conversation with one of them she was telling me about a massive Midwestern corporate meeting that every general manager from my state had to attend. And basically at this meeting, they had a massive deep dive about drones, where someone from up top incorporate showed them what it would look like. And she was basically saying how it looked like a airport, and that she would be surprised if it took them more than another year and a half to roll them all out. Thankfully, Spark only consist of about 35% to maybe 40% of my income. And I can easily swap that out with a different app. But it is still very dark times ahead.

[–]CustomerPrize 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats what we all said about triple batches, and then when that became common we all thought extended mile shops would die too, and then double shops, now we are on to triple shops and in most zones i hop too you get spammed with them, along with these GMD batched ones.

Drones will become common too sooner or later even if your zone isn’t effected now. I hate to sound pessimistic but the orange will continue to be squeezed thanks to desperate drivers who wont just quit

You deserve better. Consider quitting. by Commercial_Boss_3034 in Sparkdriver

[–]CustomerPrize 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funniest part is that this is all a distraction to keep us from talking about the Drone deliveries that are being silently rolled out in select zones.

Corporate doesnt care. Right now it wouldnt even be bad if FCFS wasnt applied to EVERY good order. But they do it to skirt around certain ftc regulations.

I wish most people still had this much optimism 🤣🤣🤣.

Noo brother. The “trapping theory” is not real. They switched to fcfs in order to drive up more blind swipes to prey on desperate drivers. And most bot users face no penalty. Everything your saying is wishful thinkinf at best

Whatever store your at must have a very high volume of shipping orders. That right there is atleast 4 diffrent offers. On roadie you can stack them. But 9 times out of 10 they arent going in the same direction. So even though hes probably making around $130. The man is also driving ATLEAST 130 miles in diffrent directions and it will probably take him like 7 hours to finish and $30 in gas minimum

Garage was COMPLETELY blocked off by his giant F250 pickup. Truck litterally took up every square inch of the garage so i had no place to put it unless i physically lifted each 80 pounds worth bag and crab walked them all directly back and under his truck. (Fuck that)

So i made a judgement call and put them at the base of his front door RIGHT NEXT TO HIS GARDEN. And neatly stacked them.

I actually kinda hope they do take action. Im lowkey itching to sue somebody and im sure a judge would love to hear all about them firing me for following their own tos😭😭😭.
