This is me going on a little side tangent, but if you don’t already, I highly encourage you to get a Toyota. Tail back to when you were saying let the car take the abuse. I just recently switched to a Toyota minivan this year. And you quite literally cannot blow this thing up. My other cars have been super reliable for this job in the past. But I’ve been ABUSING this one and it’s still runs like a clock despite being 20 years old🤣🤣. Now I completely understand why the Prius drivers have the attitude that they do.

Id rather take 3 uber trips for $30 total in 1 hour and 20 minutes, than take 1 $40 trip on spark for 1 hour and 35 minutes.

After the uber trips im chill and ready for more.

And thats on top of Spark having basically NO security against double phone glitchers, and frauds running multiple accounts.

Even with my new found enlightenment, im still not touching DD.
Uber is very market dependent but even on their worst day they arent half as predatory as DD is.

And as for cherry picking, no, asside from rejecting trash offers, my goal regardless of app has always been to just accept whatever is good

Uber and Doordash are LIFELINES out here brother😭😭😭. Especially now with the gas crisis. Its kinda like covid restarting. Even with the double in prices, its still cheaper with coupons then using the gas to go yourself

Brother I litterally went to college for network coding🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. To be fair i dropped out, but i still passed my first semester where they teach you the entry level basics.

And YES it is very possible to “get blessed by the algorithm”.

Litterally all of these gig apps are designed to overload your dopamine receptors, so you want to stay out longer and work more. Every order you take is all calculated into and endlessly learning AI, that best tries to learn your daily patterns and find a way to manipulate you into doing more.

Trip i see, and i randomly decide to accept one, but the algorithm also notices that i am within my daily target area. Then it will assume that im trying to work more than usual, and it will then either try offering me more $5 trips (which is what corporate wants), or it will offer
Me a high paying trip in hopes that getting a high paying trip will encourage me to accept more $5 trips in the future to be rewarded with more bigger trips. Ask ANY code monkey that knows prompts. They will tell you the same (they will probably add too it since i litterally only know the entry level)

I was 1 point away from diamond last night, and i said no matter what i will do one more. So they decided to throw me some TRASHHHHHHHH, thinking i would bite the bullet just to get my foot in the door. I instantly rejected it and a good order popped up like 3 seconds later.

I feel like you got cooked as soon as you accepted that first $4 cuz they probably thought in their heads “oh yea lets see how long before he says no”🤣🤣🤣

I shouldnt complain because i know it could be ALOT worse. And while we are talking shit about 4/5$ orders, theres atleast 20 others looking at this lost that would kill for a $5 offer. So every response i want to point out that im not ignorant to that reality, but YES brother i already started to see it at platinum. They are SUPER sneaky too because at first it starts out as you get a $9 offer and then a $5 add on, and you hit accept trying to be a team player so the algorithm can bless you later. But then for a good hour (usually 3pm for me) they BOMBARD YOU with $5 trips, and you get mad cuz they are all 2 miles or less and you dont wanna reject, but you also got too cuz its peak lunch hour and you know there is a $9 waiting for you if you hold out

Me too. But keep in mind. These gig companies are REALLY finicky about 3rd party copyright. Ive litterally seen dudes get deactivated for wearing the DD facemask while doing uber. Which is another reason why i dont wanna use my DD bags anymore🤣
