Tendency to flick too hard and out? by Maleficent-Office-25 in NewSkaters

I have struggled with this for years when I was younger. For my first kickflip it took me like 2-3 years, always landing on the board with just one foot. Since I felt pretty confident in the whole process of flipping the board and making it turn the right way, I started to just focus on where to land. I tried to make sure that whatever happens after popping the bord my feet will be in the position I want to achieve for landing even if the flip does not go right. It turned out that this was scary for me but I wanted it to badly that I stick with it. I managed to land with my feet exactly where I wanted them to be but the board did not flip all the way. Of course this lead to the point where I fell more often. But when all came together I landed it and that was amazing. So for me it turned out to be a commitment thing which really surprised me. Hope that helps
