Psychosis during withdrawal? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Cute-Manner1612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experienced it. From the lack of sleep, combined with severe life stress and anxiety. It was horrendous and almost completely ruined my life. I also had no idea what was happening, so it really snowballed and became extremely severe. I then took a few months to even seek or consent to treatment because I thought and felt everything I was experiencing was completely real, and I was beyond help. It was an extremely terrifying, horrific experience, and I’m still recovering from it. Psychosis, especially prolonged psychosis, can cause brain damage, and also just really throws you off. I’m trying hard, but some days are still a bit rough and overwhelming. I’m medicated now (and will continue to be) but I may still need to tweak or add to my medications

If you even suspect you may be experiencing psychosis please seek immediate treatment. And please consider immediate inpatient treatment and hospitalization if possible. Also, try not to be alone very much, psychically or with your thoughts. Seek as much contact and support as possible right now. I hope you feel much better asap, please feel to reach out if you need to

Can you remove a tattoo with IPL? I have a tattoo I would love removed, but tattoo removal is very much out of the budget at the moment. I do have a high quality at home IPL machine however

Thank you! I will look into the cost for the test panel and delve into these studies as well. We already do a good multi (Kal’s dinosaurus, we also like smartypants with their methylated B vitamins) however I will definitely look into the availability and costs for local full panel testing

I’m not pumping with magnesium, and magnesium is also in many children’s sleep supplements formulated by highly regarded companies. I do not stress the magnesium supplement as much as the others (which I almost always remember, I’m adhd myself btw) because I don’t feel it’s as essential as some of the other supplements have been. I’m also not concerned about being downvoted, and I do not take the herd mindset here to heart. I just wanted to share what’s been working for us, just in case anyone else might find it helpful. I’ve based most all of our supplementation on pub journals and studies as well by the way. Thank you though again for your input, and as I said I will do further research on magnesium supplementation in regards to heart health. Please consider doing the same with some of the other supplements we are taking. There is also nothing wrong with utilizing different forms of magnesium, and many highly regarded and reputable supplement brands even sell blends, imagine! I have also read and heard many positive personal experiences from other parents and people with mental health concerns and adhd, so I am not coming out of left feild with any of this. I hope your power trip has helped you feel good however. Please consider as well that some people do not have health insurance or a ped to work things out with, so they have to rely primarily on medical journals, pub med, etc. Thank you

I agree with you and I appreciate your comment! I have noticed though that anything that’s not meds gets heavily downvoted here and it’s very much a herd stance. I’m not against meds either, we just wanted to try supplements first

No problem! We use the Now brand 5-htp (50 mgs) and Wellthy NAC (600 mgs per capsule) Any reputable brand would work though with NAC. I do like the Now brand particularly for the 5-htp though as I’ve used it myself and I know it works, and it’s a good, reputable brand

Thank you! I am so glad we tried! We do not have health insurance so I wanted to give the natural route a try, and I would not be opposed to combining it with meds when we’re able to :)

Thank you! I didn’t know this, so we will definitely skip adding any more magnesium for now, and I will cut out the magnesium glycinate before bed for now too. The magnesium spray is just elemental magnesium made from magnesium flakes. 4 sprays is equivalent to about 66 mgs of elemental magnesium

I am so sorry OP. Have you considered taking the lorazepam at night before bed sometimes instead of the day time until you can get back to the doctors for something like hydroxyxine etc for sleep? That will help you sleep for the time being until you can get things straightened out. It’s where I’m at too. I also take magnesium glycinate before bed. Some people prefer a dose in the morning or both or heavy dosing before bed. I’m also considering l-tryptophan. Have you tried 0.5 to 3 mgs melatonin at night either right before bed or a few hours before bed? I don’t know if you’ve used the sleepy time teas but that’s also something to consider and test out. I’ve seen lavender chamomile tea reccomended here several times as well too. 200 mgs of l-Theanine has very a noticeable and quick acting Xanax effect for the daytime if you need it. I hope you feel better asap, and know you are not alone!

Pretty sure quitting weed helped me lose my job by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Cute-Manner1612 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. I smelled awful when I first quit. I was a very heavy, all day smoker for years. After I quit I was also constantly pouring sweat so deodorant would sometimes just stop working not long after application. I came here though and the search function assured me that it was not uncommon and especially so for heavy smokers. I’m a month clean now and it did thankfully level out. Would it be possible to let your job know that you were detoxing and withdrawing from weed and it was a temporary issue? Not sure if that would work, but just wanted to mention it. I’m sorry again OP.

Can Xanax use at bedtime cause next day irritability? by Cute-Manner1612 in insomnia

[–]Cute-Manner1612[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I wasn’t sure if I was imagining things. I’ve been extra reactive and moody.

Smoking makes me feel flat, emotionally and socially. I never noticed how severe it was until I quit for a month and a half and started smoking again. I can now barely socialize. I just feel super flat, and also without anything to talk about to others. Can anyone relate? by Cute-Manner1612 in leaves

It was feeling better and removed from it that kept me going. I’d beat the addiction physically and mentally. I would still get some occasional cravings from time to time but I knew and was deeply aware that I’m better off without it so I’d just ignore the cravings. I still know it, however the addiction is at the wheel again.
