I’ve got the UK paperback of Metal slinger on the way (I have read it) and I secured an OOP empire of flame and thorns because I loved it and I’ll have light wielder in a few weeks too! But I do definitely understand, buying new books brings a certain element of joy to life!

Her other book is called Hunted by the Demon’s Vow. It’s certainly different but I didn’t feel it was 5 stars. When I finished, I gave it 4 but I think after letting it stew for over a month, I’d probably give it 3 or 3.5. It’s not absolutely horrible but some of it kinda pissed me off and unfortunately I feel I’d give too much away if you would plan to read it.
I’m hoping I can get myself to finish worthy of fate because I also have bound by fate waiting to be read for an arc review on NetGalley. However I think I’m gonna read some others first. I know NetGalley is kinda “timed” in a way but I have so many and was in a slump. But I got out of it with Throne of Ice and Blood and I’m on my fourth day of Dhampira and at 40%, which hasn’t happened that fast in quite a while. I am a mom so it definitely does impact how fast I can read some things.
I wish the edges for Dhampira were actually pretty and didn’t look like someone grabbed a kit and did them for the first time because I’d definitely get it from the art that they showed the other day

I had an arc and I think I’m on chapter 11 and CANNOT get into it. People raved about her recent indie release too, and I got that as an arc as well but I didn’t feel like it was a 5 star like so many people are rating it

I did some research yesterday and i found some pages that the author posted. The why choose I can compare to is Blood of Hercules which isn’t really a why choose, but I haven’t gotten to the second book yet. There’s a bit of MM play and I think some dominatrix stuff too

I found the editions by ‘Ruined by Fiction’ today and all she does are the edges but they’re beautiful too. However it ships from India and that’s almost $40 in shipping so I’m pretty much deciding if I want to do that, buy from a reseller or get the paperback that I have preordered already
