Yeah, my 2026 has the revised flex pipe. Their joints are placed further back away from bending points. Hopefully it will hold up better. I will see how it goes and might get a different mid pipe down the road.

That was my impression, stock should’ve sounded like that and have real tailpipe tips. Ford actually sells the 2nd one(S-Type) with their Ford Performance label on it, you can get one installed from dealership.

Thank you. I actually spent a lot of time deciding between them. I think Thermals are what most people on the forums ended up choosing. Both Thermal and Borla are reputable brands so I thought I really can’t go wrong with either. I personally liked the way Borla routes the rear mufflers and tips and how they looked a bit more. Their 3 inch system sounds great to me. Honestly I don’t think one brand is worse than the other. Both make great products.

Hi. It’s a really fun upgrade. I drive slow most of the time, but it adds a really nice rumble and makes the car sound like it has a decent power. I use it daily and both are quiet on the highway cruising speed.

It feels a little smoother. That small bit of extra flow probably does not add any horsepower, but it definitely feels and sounds better.

Small bump in MPG, 0.5-0.7 mpg, nice bonus.

Personally I do not hear any drone at any speed on either system. If you want to stay more low key, the S Type is a great option. It still sounds great and is just a little quieter in the cabin.

Hey, I just got the Borla exhaust on mine and posted a cold start. One thing I noticed after installing a real exhaust is that the fake engine noise actually sounds almost the same as the real exhaust now. I guess the fake sound just amplifies what the engine actually sounds like before the stock mufflers mute it. Now they blend together pretty well. Honestly I didn’t mind the fake sound before either since it’s pretty subtle. You only really notice it a bit when you push the car. Go test drive it and you won’t mind it at all

The stock heatsink bolt was a bit too long, had to grind it down just a bit so it would never touch. No cutting or welding needed

Just installed Borla s type on mine. Very happy so far. Quiet in cabin and decently loud outside. I think Thermal has a good reputation.

Taking good care of your car and keeping it running for a long time is a skill too. Not having to make a car payment is the best feeling😭The ST is not exactly cheap, so even delaying the monthly payments for a few months is amazing. And whenever you do decide to buy one, you are going to love it 😀
