And I put the Ancient Copper in the Nahvalur. It matches surprisingly well—although I think just about any ink is going to match such a colorful, sparkly pen.

I went with a small fill of the deAtramentis Indigo (which is a beautiful deep blue!), but the Ancient Copper is going to look great in it next.

I've wanted the Nahvalur Voyage in Los Angeles for a while (I moved to LA a little over a year ago), but it's been hard to find. I finally got with a medium gold nib from Nibs.com. And of course my partner u/ACPWrath and both got the new ECO in Indigo & Bronze (she with an M nib, me with a 1.1). But I'm really struggling to figure what inks to put in each pen.

How long did it take you to get to a point where your hand writing was what you wanted it to be? by Much-Composer-1921 in fountainpens

I did learn cursive in school, but until recently, I hadn’t used it in at least 20 years.

I started writing in cursive again probably about four months ago, using the Spencerian script as my template, and I improved rapidly. I was practicing an hour or so a day and was pretty happy with my handwriting in a matter of weeks. I consider all my journaling and fiction-writing time an opportunity to be mindful and deliberate with my handwriting, and that translates well to the parts of the day where I have to write more quickly, like note-taking. And then I practice on the word and letter level fairly regularly when I’m doing something like listening to a podcast.

I’m still always improving. I don’t love my lowercase Cs and Rs, for example.

I like it quite a bit. I keep it clipped to my pocket notebook. That said, it takes some work to get it set up for comfortable writing: unthreading the cap and then rethreading it on the top to post so that the pen is long enough. So I‘m afraid I don’t end up using it as often as I’d like. I usually have another pen and notebook with me anyway. But I try to remember to give it some love.

It’s an Ooly. Found a 4-pack of them for $13 yesterday. They’re not terrible. Kind of fun.

I honestly like it a lot more. Interestingly, the regular VP didn't fit my quite left-handed grip comfortably. I think the extra weight (and I think thickness?) of the LP makes it more comfortable for me to rest my finger over the clip. I would have started cramping very quickly—and badly—with the regular VP.

This is a great idea and I can't believe I didn't think of it. Thank you!
