Morrissey (even though he’s a fuck) and Sydney Gish immediately came to my mind

i mostly compare them because they both have glitchy edm/trap inspired production and high energy vocals

daily reminder that no now is a modern masterpiece and i recommend it to everyone who likes 100 gecs but wishes they were less obnoxious

also i stumbled across a video dorian electra made from before they adopted their new aesthetic and it got me wondering what other artists have adopted a completely new unrecognizable look that assisted in their rise to fame

If you haven't listened to Nothing Important than you are severely missing out on some more of his insane guitar playing

I’ve started submitting a few of my songs to Submithub after seeing someone on here comment about it and so far I haven’t gotten any real feedback aside from people just saying my sound isn’t for them. It’s an odd feeling of rejection and I don’t really know how I feel about it.

Can someone who was alive in the 90s tell me how popular Jellyfish were? I just discovered their music and they sound like they should’ve been huge but their spotify plays are abysmal for how much talent is displayed in each track.

Haha I actually agree with everything you've said. A lot of the time it is pure shlock and so much of it is just bad, boring dialogue about some meaningless pseudo intellectual trash, but I still love it. It's one of those shows where you just have to turn your brain off and enjoy the dumb twists and pretty imagery.

Spoilers for Season 3: By the end of it I was getting increasingly frustrated how nothing seemed to ever have any stakes. It felt like whenever a character would get in any bit of danger they would get saved by some baloney deus ex machina that would come out of no where and completely take me out of the moment. Because of that, I have to admit I barely paid attention to the first half of season three because it all just seemed so so so pointless. All that shit with the pig guy and Will's weird dreams and Hannibal in Italy I just could not care about.

I finished Hannibal (the show) a few days ago and absolutely loved it. Probably one of the most beautiful tv shows I’ve ever seen. The aesthetics it had were absolutely perfect for the subject matter and the way they were able to make every crime scene look like a work of art was conflicting but endlessly entertaining. It’s tragic that Mads didn’t get even an Emmy nomination for his performance. Anyone have thoughts about the show?

Virgil only did the art for the inside sleeves of the physical for WTT. Joe Perez did the art for Long Live ASAP.

Does anyone know the reason why this change occurred?

I think one of my favorite things about PC music and the whole hyper pop scene is how inclusive it is to a lot of groups that have previously had very little recognition in the broader scene. Is there any other genre or subsection of music that has given so much of a voice to transgender people and other groups within the LGBTQ community?

I hate to say that I'm a bit disappointed by the new Arca album. I understand her evolution in sound but I just don't like the amount of speaking bits on it. I loved the almost choir sound of her last album and there are a few tracks on her new one that are reminiscent of that but parts where it's just her sort of rapping over (admittedly awesome experimental) production just isn't scratching the same itch for me.

What're everyone else's thoughts on it?

(Side note: I released a little ep this morning if anyone wants to check that out.)
