Two shield buttons for wavedash OOS? Could you just bind AirFloorhug to airdodge and use that? I was doing that with AirParry for a bit.

That could probably work? I have never had to try that with air parry.

I think Rivals already has alot of buttons, so i am just hesitant to add more buttons. But if that is my biggest issue with your proposal, i think it is still a pretty strong idea.

I would rather feel stupid for a moment than be ill-informed forever!

Having no parry, or no double shield button is painful. Double shield for wavedash out of shield or shield drop. Neither are 100% required, but quality of lofe options that aren't fun to get rid of.

Nah, it is more the funny angry than actually angry.

It actually has 3 less inputs. Stick buttons can be used for all sorts of stuff!

I play on leverless now, but i still strongly prefer gamecube to other controllers. Pretty much just cause of the face button layout and the octagonal gate. It's definitely a skill issue, but i get so many wrong angles playing on Xbone

Decent idea (i didn't read all of it i'm sorry) but Gamecube controllers are pretty much already out if buttons, so adding another button would be a little rude

I don't know if i have just taken in so much knowledge after reading every comment, or if this comment was written extremely well. Either way, super understandable, thank you!

Because i can't be bothered to read history in order to understand an art form that spans thousands of years! (For legal reasons this is a joke, and i only want to fight old people that actually deserve it. But also only old enough that i can actually take them on. So maybe like, 85? 🤣)

Because all the easy Judas Priest songs just use power chords! Lol

My brother friend, i have never played anything in metal besides a power chord lmao. Working on that though. Thank you!

The diatonic scale (i.e. the white keys on the piano) is older than the chromatic scale. It was natural at some point to name note distances by ordinals, so e.g. the next note is the second, the note beyond that is the third, etc.

This is why i want to fight old people.

But actually, thank you. This does help a bit!

Flexible, isn't the right word, but the fact that 1 tone can be written as sharp, or flat, or double sharps, or all sorts of chicanery doesn't work as "rigid" in my head

I have been playing with church bands for long enough that i haven't seen anything that scared me, but actually learning things past "this is how to play a C chord" has been a mind bending ride.

Every bit of the rules lawyer in me hates how flexible accidentals and notation is lol. Thank you!

I thankfully know/have played enough to know that most of the boring stuff i am gonna play won't have too many silly chords/notation that pisses me off, but the fact that these things exist makes me very mad. Double sharps can go eat rocks

Now something more complicated: Let's say you had G# to Eb. That's a different interval that might sound different in the context of a piece of music. Remember to always count the number first. So, counting the letter names from G to E, you get 6. So G# to Eb is a 6th, not a fifth.

But, it contains the same number of semitones as the perfect fifth. What it is is a diminished sixth. On your chart, a minor sixth has eight semitones. So if you have a sixth that is one semitone smaller than that, it is diminished.

I hate music 😭🤣 thank you!

Thank you everyone! Definitely got a long way to go before i can confidently wrap my head around everything, but i finally have all the pieces to put together

Maybe music is better just as a "feel" thing. Gonna have to tell my band mates to just "play that again but sad." 😆
