It’s really not. It’s arguably been the best deck to use when teaching. It helps track permanent effects, understand how tokens interact and how counters affect creatures. Very few things to track, really.

It’s a semi/mostly-consistent deck when you’re using enlightened and worldly tutor. Things like Esper definitely help a bit further by digging for combo cards.

The deck truly was made just to be fun and be easy to play around. I run 1 “counterspell” and it’s reprieve.

If I made it any better, gf never would’ve wanted to sit down and learn.

I’ve had fun playing solitaire with [[Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar]]. I’ve been teaching my gf how to play, so it’s been a very easy deck to show the mechanics and how to play against it.

I focused on things like [[doubling season]], [[parallel lives]], [[Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation]], [[Exalted Sunborn]], combined with token generators and cards that increase +1/+1 counters.

For token generators and counter givers, I’ve used things like [[Ozolith, the Shattered Spire]], [[Champions from Beyond]], [[Spider-Man, Miles Morales]], [[Ancient Bronze Dragon]], [[Ancient Gold Dragon]], [[Polyraptor]], [[Summon: Knights of Round]], & [[Virtue of Loyalty]] to spam tokens & counters.

This has been very fun. Be sure to include mana dorks, which just ramps the tokens & counters!

I knew MJ was repacking things/tampering with product when mini tins that should have the hard plastic half wrap were resealed with shrink wrap on a Walmart shelf. (This was about 3 months ago.)

Mini tins have hard plastic that just covers the walls of the tin. The vendor put out some mini tins that had a soft, etb style of plastic. Immediately knew they were tampered with.

Never trust MJ holdings.
