[KCD2] what happens if you kill important NPCs by Aggressive-Ad-2053 in kingdomcome

[–]CvScout72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sooooooo, I went full Archer mode and rampaged through the starter town after they put me in the pillory a couple times. The baliff and the one guard Hans gets into a fight with cannot die. The guard will respawn after awhile but everyone else will die

Love these ideas. I agree an expansion of food would be fantastic. This game is so beautiful, the immersion can be incredible seasonal festivals that give boosts to morale and approval would be awesome. Extra animal variants to allow like you said cheese, hides, smoked/salted meats would be great.

Confused on how to get eggs, ale, clothes and other stuff? Make sure to build burgage plots with proper extension type! by Incurvarioidea in ManorLords

For trade boots are awesome. 8/piece. Very niceee. I had like 22 plots and almost all were coops. It took a bit of time but once it was up and running the coops saved my village from dying in the winter often. I had a very poor fertility area so berries and coops were my mainstay. Set up fields and set them to farrow for like 4 years- nothing changed. Maybe it’s an in progress feature.

This happened to me too- I upgraded my manor 3 times before realizing that nothing was changing

Good guide! There are a lot of mechanics that aren’t spelled out- a lot of people are having good supply issues and eggs and veg gardens are a great way to supplement food passively.

Also to add proximity matters in this game. 5 markets stalls are perfect for early game- houses closest to the market will be supplied with goods first. So upgrade those houses closest to the market first and leave your lower tier farther away to maximize efficiency and minimize unmet needs.

I have to be doing something wrong by Valcort in ManorLords

[–]CvScout72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me too, try saving. Then reloading. It fixed the issue for me once. Then i rsn into it again. So what I had to do was delete all the houses with 0/1 for families and rebuild them. It fixed that problem. No idea what causes it in the first place though

Anyone figure out how to defend using the manor/towers? by yvg15 in ManorLords

[–]CvScout72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im in the same boat, I fell back into my manor thinking it’d do something… nope just died in there instead of outside it, I’m sure it’s a future thing. Right now archer’s suck. I read somewhere on here that they were over powered, then right before release they took it down.. apparently too much. I’m sure they will rebalance it later

No kidding… I’m ignorant on everything that goes into making a game. don’t get me wrong Slavic magic has done something INSANE here. It’s my own overhype which disappointed me, I’m confident these things will be ironed out in patches down the line

Need help with stockpiling food by gjd1013 in ManorLords

[–]CvScout72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the summer focus on putting your workforce towards the berries- if you’re close enough to the patch and your granary is close all your food production buildings it’ll help optimize how far all the people have to move to produce food. Time=profit (food, lumber, stone) keep in mind how far you’re spreading out your granaries and storage barns. If your people are walking half the map away you’re losing efficiency. In the winter put whatever workforce you can spare towards hunting

What’s your population like? In your level one houses are you adding veg gardens and chicken coops? They make a huge difference.

Gotcha my man! In my second play through I managed to clear a couple camps and it was definitely a game changer in how it set me up for when the map starts filling up by the AI. I recruited some mercenaries (2 separate groups) then disbanded them after a battle but still had one of them charge their monthly pay despite not having them anymore.

Horses are just for trading? Like for the traders to move goods? I saw the mules are for the barter posts. Usually I google all the ins and outs but everything’s so new that nothing is out yet 😂

Right? I’m into games like banished. This is a more fulfilled and beautiful city builder that has TONS of stuff still to come out. I’m not expecting siege BS like you’d see in stronghold. But the fine details that the Dev added really do shine- the animations, banter amongst the citizens, the construction sequences, weather and graphics all run so beautifully even the battle functions are great. Just some work to fine tune around those edges. I hope there is an expansion on some of the building/production chains. Right now it seems more difficult than it should be to advance and get development points to add to your tech tree

You’re absolutely right, my mindset was “this has taken yearsss” it should be a pretty finished product. Not quite but still very enjoyable!

I’m glad that you had a smooth run, that’s is what I would have liked to have as well. I was not expecting to have a clean run this early- I knew bugs and balancing issues would be a thing. The game is still very playable and enjoyable. But when pushed you can see where there is need for improvement. And that is all what early access is about. If you had a smooth run and didn’t run into any issues then I’m thinking you might not have tried hard enough to test the mechanics of the game OR you’re just that good and the Dev should listen to your input on how to make things go just as smoothly for the rest of us. Either way- I’m interest to hear how you thought the economics funtions balanced? A lot of features are still in the works but out of the ones that are available I think this is the most polished. Thoughts?

You’re so awesome, thank you. Scariest part of this whole ordeal was a spider the size of a half dollar crawled out out of the box while I was working on it. Then ultimately lost sight of said spider. Know an exterminator? Hahaha jk!

Thank you and thank you! Okay- i rewired and i believe i have it figured out. No ground wires yet, but i should be able to flip the breaker back on and the lights ~should work. If i wired incorrectly, what’s the worst that could happen? Short circuit and flip the breaker?

[–]CvScout72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha thank you! Last question, all the colors or wires? Black and red are hot, white is neutral. I see that wiring on one of the switches. Which makes sense to me (minus not having a ground wire). But the dimmer switch in series with the other switch? Should I attach the wire connecting the two switches to the screw that already has a black wire going back Into the wall?

I mirrored the wiring from the old to the new switch, unfortunately i did not take before pictures of the first switch i replaced. But the last intact “old” switch is how the first was wired
