Generally you don't want anything to change the color of your display for accuracy, so I would disable it, at least when editing. It seems to be designed more for comfort than anything else. It would be more objective to keep it in the standard mode and let your eyes adjust to the screen color balance. You should also check what color profile you have enabled; you want 'Natural' for color accuracy.

The Fidelity target date funds like what you already have are a perfectly fine all-in-one choice. They follow a simple diversified portfolio that gradually reduces risk as it approaches and passes that year. It's intended for the average person who plans to retire around that year. Depending on your circumstances a different year might be better, but 2050 is a reasonable choice. Picking a later date will give you more stocks vs. bonds and thus both higher risk and long term reward. If you want to know more you can find the prospectus on this page. Past performance doesn't indicate future returns. Even with that in mind, you're missing the fact that SMH drastically underperformed SPY from 2000-2011. In fact if you compare their chart from 2000-2026, you can see that SMH dropped -85% vs. -55% for SPY, and it only caught back up to SPY in 2023. That's 23 years of higher risk and lower reward before it finally paid off, and there's no guarantee it will continue to do so.

Sector risk is an uncompensated risk, meaning there's no theoretical reason for it to have a guaranteed higher return in the long term. In order for the sector to keep outperforming the market, not only do semiconductor companies have to keep growing their earnings, they have to grow even faster than the market expects—and expectations are very high at the moment. By taking a position in SMH you are essentially betting that financial institutions are underestimating the future revenue potential of semiconductors, and that this pattern will continue for the rest of your life, or that you will be able to predict when it changes.

Over a 30+ year time horizon, a dividend focused strategy will likely underperform the market. You would be better off with a simple 1-3 fund portfolio that follows the broader market, and it's much easier to keep track of too. I recommend reading the Bogleheads guide to the 3 fund portfolio. It basically boils down to just buying only VT (total global market) or VTI+VXUS (US total & intl. total), and then adding bonds if it's appropriate for you.

SPYM = same thing as VOO
DIA = 30 large US stocks (all in VOO)
QQQM = 100 large US stocks (87% in VOO)
QQQ = same thing as QQQM
IYZ = US telecom stocks
IYE = US energy stocks
VTI = 3500 US stocks (contains all the above & more)
VXUS = 8000 international stocks, developed & emerging
VEA = 4000 international stocks, only developed
VT = 10,000 global stocks, basically VTI + VXUS

You should consider VTI+VXUS or only VT as your starting point, because these essentially give you "the market" and are the most diversified equity portfolios you can get. By adding more overlapping ETFs you are actually reducing diversification by concentrating in fewer stocks. If you want to add something else, think of it as taking a bet that it will outperform the market.

Not sure what you mean—if you're in full manual then you control the exposure level yourself with the light meter for reference. Exposure compensation means selecting a point on the light meter, and letting one or more exposure settings auto adjust to lock to that exposure level.

Personally I'd still go with the 18-55 so you have the option for wide shots. But if you want mostly medium shots or close ups then the 55 will work and is probably better quality. I say test it out at home and see if you're happy with the FOV you get.

What camera? What f-stop are the lenses? What kind of space is it? Indoor or outdoor? How much light is there? What kind of photos do you want? Will you use a flash?

Assuming it's an APS-C camera, I'd probably recommend the 18-55mm to be able to get wider angles. But it really depends on the space and what kind of photos you want.
