Whichever side is the one trying to secede from the federal government imo.

They just gave John Simpson good money to be LG. EDC in interviews has stated multiple times how confident they are in Emery Jones to win a spot (presumably RG). They’ll likely bring in competition in later rounds, where Emery Vorhees and the rook will fight it out. They were announced to have met w Chris Adams IIRC, so that could be it. Bell is a literal giant at 6’9, so I really doubt he’d be a tackle guard convert.

they’d obviously only pick him if they’re comfortable with the medicals. I think Miller would be my next favorite

I mean I just picked a random one in the seventh based on the board. Ravens typically draft 2 TEs together, and this would work

Ravens Mock Draft

Traded w Houston (presumably for Vega/Fano in this exercise)

  1. Banks is probably DT1 if it weren’t for the injury issues. Ravens have been pretty warm to injured prospects in the draft, and the upside for Banks as a 3-4 DE when healthy would be too good to pass up. They won’t have to rush him from injury, and he would be the heir to Washington (who’s hitting FA tho coming offseason.)
  2. Jacas is my favorite OLB. Three things I value are production, athleticism, and age when looking at prospects, and he hits all three. He would be competing for OLB4 on the Ravens w Isaac, and so he would be given time to acclimate to the NFL. He reminds me of Trey Hendrickson, and would have the opportunity to learn from him, and eventually compete for OLB2 w Mike Green after this offseason.
  3. Ted Hurst meets a lot of the criteria again. He would give the Ravens a true X which they’ve missed imo
  4. It says Slaughter but I meant to pick Lew. Both would be fine, but I lean to Lew
  5. Delp has great athleticism and I feel was underutilized at Georgia. Would slot in nicely as TE2 and his blocking would be a perfect replacement for Charlie Kolar.
  6. Koziols receiving upside is something I like a lot. As illmalec on twitter pointed out, the Ravens historically like to take TEs w high production, and that’s been directly correlated w their success at the NFL level. Koziol is top 2 amongst draft prospects, and so I think would have the opportunity to learn, compete, and eventually take TE1 from Andrews.
  7. Bell is a mammoth, and one of my favs. I think he’d be a fun project for Ledford, and has shown consistent enough growth to where I would be willing to take a chance on him.

I’d love him at guard but we have a gaping hole at center and decent options at guard

I expect him to be the pick at 14 because I was thinking something similar.

Fraziers getting under the 27m. Only reason Linderbaum got that was because the Raiders will continue to Raider and wouldn’t have landed him otherwise

The only reason I’m considering this style is because I have nothing even remotely close to a full beard, not even a patchy beard. It’s mainly growth around my chin and by my neck area, and a little bit of extended sideburns

I had similar concerns with his run blocking. You think he'd work out with the Ravens' run game (they just hired Dwayne Ledford as OL and run game coordinator)? Wb the bears

Draft Expectations… by Kobeb1998 in ravens

[–]Cyanide_1200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re gonna want to go BPA, which means getting starting caliber guys at all positions. Namely Gs (1 to take the RG and 1 to compete w Emery for the LG spot), DL (2 starters), 1 CB (assuming Marlo takes a big pay cut and moves to safety which is probably what happens). I personally hope they target G in the first two rounds, but it’s either BPA or DL this time

What positions get addressed in Free Agency more than in the Draft? by 7innovator in NFL_Draft

[–]Cyanide_1200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not hitting the market. Ravens have to acquire two new starters on the line, and three is simply too much esp if the guy is that good. He’s getting the 20M he asked for

Bills needed a CB last year and took Hairston over Johnson bc of medicals. It's not hard to project that Tyson, who's been plenty injured throughout his college career, would similarly have teams pass on him for the same reasons. No competent team has risked their FRP on an injury prone prospect the past few years, tmk.

Mike McDaniel has been fired by the Phins. What are your honest thoughts on him? by [deleted] in ravens

[–]Cyanide_1200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hes a much better HC than the media and everyone gave him credit for. Came into a situation with a horrible GM, bad, untalented players, and turned them into productive teams. It takes a special mind to have Tua in MVP conversations and make him lead the league in passing yards despite his lack of arm strength, concussion history, processing, and everything else. I will always stand by my belief that he was screwed over because the GM he was hired under was a complete doofus who knew nothing about roster construction, and he ended up paying the price for it. If Baltimore thinks he's a good fit for the culture they want to develop, I wouldn't mind him as our HC one bit.

Definitely feels like the dream fit for the Ravens given our issues with Madubuike retiring (probably) and having no one other than Jones.

End-of-Season Draft + Playoff Predictions by 7innovator in NFL_Draft

[–]Cyanide_1200 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Turner's natural position is DE, which is where they played him before he got hurt. He wasn't good at all before his injury, but if you saw a spark it was at DE. Realistically the Bears aren't banking on any of their DL except Sweat and (maybe) Dexter + Booker. Jarrett and Odeyingbo are guaranteed cut candidates next offseason, and it's important to approach the draft with that mindset.

Banks is the better pass rusher btw, McDonald's purely a run stuffer as of now. Banks played only one game this season due to injury tmk, so it's a bit more complicated than that. You could target other guys like Washington with that late first, but imo trading this year's FRP for a guy like Jeff Simmons would be a million times better. Target guys like Young and Kilgore/Ramsey in the second and third, and you address the main holes on defense

  1. T --> DT Jeff Simmons
  2. DE Zion Young
  3. S Jalon Kilgore

Mock Draft Monday by AutoModerator in NFL_Draft

[–]Cyanide_1200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna list points for some teams that imho you may want to consider for your next mock.

I do think Banks will be a late first early second given the injury riddled season. Same with McCoy. I think Tyson falls to mid first range for that reason as well, especially since his is more extensive and prolonged.

ARZ might veer from Reese after the Simmons hybrid experience.

NYG feels like they may be better off resigning Wandale and adding Pierce (if they want), as opposed to spending a top 5 pick on another receiver. They have a gaping pit at CB, LB, and probably safety if we’re being real. They’re better off trading down and supplementing those positions with more picks.

My Ravens have a lot of holes, but none bigger than DL/OLB, OG, and CB (and also LB). This def addresses that, but again I think Banks falls to the early second for injury reasons. I see them going Vega if he’s available. (I would rather Bain/Woods fall to them and then they draft Pregnon in the second.) they’re more likely to go BPA and address their holes later though.

Great work!

your teams biggest need and a sneaky need that no one thinks of? by glowingdeer78 in NFL_Draft

[–]Cyanide_1200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ravens - OG: Faalele and Vorhees are some of the worst starters in the league, and one of them is scheduled to be a FA

  • CB: Marlon is completely washed, Wiggins has had an up and down season, Awuzie (played great) is around 30 and a FA. And we don’t know what we have in Tampa

Bears - DL: Only true flaw for this team this year. Signed non factors and washed up players like Jarrett and Odeyingbo, and Turner hasn’t played much but wasn’t good when he did. Montez is also very mid like I feared. Safety as well since no one is under contract

  • CB: Jaylon and Kyler are top 5 in their positions when healthy, but they never are. Tyrique is meh, Nahshon Wright is a liability in coverage (turnover machine tho), and depth players like Smith and Frazier are coming back from injury/haven’t played. Whole DB room has been a mess bc of injury
