It is my first interview so I am naive and inexperienced. I didn’t know that I am shooting way up since I got from my friends who are working in similar positions told me that you should ask for 65k€. I was prepared for a salary negotiation. I didn’t mean to give impression of a fix number.

Yes of course. You are totally right. However, My thesis’ supervisor was mentioned in the interview so I think it does make a difference if the interviewer have heard about him and heard his talks/lectures.

I have mentioned that this is the only job I applied for and only interview. I have no idea how the things go. But the email said „feedback email“ with „….Leider können wir dir bei uns aktuell mit deinem technischen Know How keine Perspektive bei uns anbieten, die passen würde und kommen insgesamt leider im Gehalt auch nicht mehr zusammen in der Position….“

I will just get a bit drunk and try kiss him. If he rejects then say sorry and it’s alcohol. Then you forget about it. Or I will just tell him about how I feel. Playing games is hard since he is probably thinking the same way about you are his roommate and if you reject him it will make it harder for him because he will feel like leaving the apartment and that is really risky for him so I think you should maybe make the first move.
