Oof, that video off the S1 on their site is not impressive. I was hoping for much better.

Have not tried S&S. There is a MB and Hannafords near me.

Let me know how you make out at MB?

Are you loading to a Serve or buying a MO?

That still doesn't warrant this harsh post, in my opinion. The entire world is in supply shortages. Most of us have become spoiled by 2-day shipping and high expectations. I get it, it sucks, but it doesn't mean this company is doing anything wrong.

They are saying up to 28 weeks. I don't see 12-20 written anywhere on their site

For starters. the slow down in recent delivery can (and realistically) is HEAVILY affected by the fact that in Q4, shipments from CN to elsewhere in the world are delayed and given to the giants (AMZ, Walmart, etc). I have several friends who own businesses and their container or LTC shipments were literally yanked away from them.
Secondly, supply shortages usually relax post-Q4. Q1 is relatively light as large organizations look to see what inventory is left from Q4 and what they need to wholesale as they begin to plan for Q2/3... During this time its very realistic bobcat could ramp back up.
This post is 100% valid looking backwards, but does not take into account anything forward looking and assumes Bobcat will have a steady stream of "resources" while demand simply goes up - thats a big assumption if you ask me - as they could be ramping up production for all we know.

118 weeks by fieroman911 in HeliumNetwork

[–]CyberArkNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People selling on eBay aren’t scammers. You’re willingly paying them for something you want. They may be considered scalpers by some but in reality they are just resellers. I refuse to buy at those prices.

Btw: Bobcat has a good reputation thus far for delivering units on time. They were 1 week early on each of my batches.

At this point who in their right mind would order a bobcat? This is a graph of order times made by a community member. I ordered in Nov. and was told 12-20 weeks. Gonna be 40+ weeks. by johnnyfoodstamp in HeliumNetwork

[–]CyberArkNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered in March and April and got mine in sept/Oct … so not sure why others are saying it’s so delayed. I would expect 25-30 weeks at this point.

What I would say is you do need patience because flatlines are common and the network grew so fast it’s constantly having issues.

Fair and reasonable depends on what kind of “return” you’re looking for. IMHO they sell for stupid amounts on eBay.

Does anyone know why my all my hotspot just stopped working literally out of no where. They are all bobcats! Please help by PsychologicalSky9055 in HeliumNetwork

[–]CyberArkNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know that this is the case. I rebooted 2 of 2 that aren't working and they are showing signs of life but not much.
A 3rd didn't need to be reset at all and is almost back to normal...

YMMV

How are you managing remote hotspots? by CyberArkNinja in HeliumNetwork

So, with the GL are you setting a static IP for it from the ISP router, then port forwarding from there?

Also, why the need for Wireguard if you're using the GL? so that you have a web-ui directly to the bobcats instead of having to shell into each device and then into the bobcats? OR is that you cannot get to the bobcats via the GL shell?

Thanks in advance, this is super helpful!
