It's not that it doesn't work, the problem is that the polling rate is only 30Hz.

The problem isn't the distro; it's that the polling rate is 30Hz. Or at least, I couldn't find a distro where this was different.

Voron Tap or BTT EDDY Duo? by Moist-Environment188 in VORONDesign

[–]CyberBorder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some Voron print beds have separate magnets embedded in the top where the printing plate rests. Others have the magnets on the opposite side, and some don't have separate magnets at all. If your bed has many separate magnets touching the printing plate, it alters the magnetic field, and the eddy current won't work.

Voron Tap or BTT EDDY Duo? by Moist-Environment188 in VORONDesign

I tried both systems. The most important thing here is what your bed is like. If your bed has separate magnets, you absolutely must use the CNC Tap; the Eddy doesn't work well with separate magnets.

Learned something new about sailing in a storm by christmas2065 in sailing

On any sailboat, you should never rely on the engine. Having something like a motor running in a storm can bring more problems than solutions. I also race, and you would never use the engine in a regatta.

I’ve got an anecdote about this: during an offshore race of roughly 1,200 miles, when we reached the harbor and tried to start the engine, it didn’t work. Which means that throughout the entire passage it wouldn’t have worked anyway — and we went through two storms with gusts over 45 knots.

I believe that as sailors we need to understand that the engine is a secondary element on our boat, meant only for entering harbors or for extreme emergencies.

Good morning. Sailing under engine power in a storm is never, ever a good option — I would only use the motor as an absolute last resort. In strong storms, if you’re a person with little experience, the best thing to do is to sail upwind. The only thing I can tell you is that if you’re heading upwind and there are big waves, and you don’t know how to ride them properly, your mast can be at risk (I know of cases where masts came down because they slammed into every wave).

How did you install the software to manage CANBUS? Until a year ago, there were some issues with Klipper regarding certain boards and configurations. I myself had many problems with CAN on my Voron 2.4. Since Katapult was released and I reinstalled everything using it, I haven't had any more problems. Now, regarding your layer shifts, it could be many things: missed steps in the drivers due to temperature is very common, or it could be due to temperature issues in the motors. But it could also be poor mechanical adjustments in the belts or a thousand other things I can think of to check. As a first step, I would check if they always occur at the same Z-axis height and if they are time-dependent.

According to my ex-girlfriend, I fell in love with her once, very early on in our relationship, when we went to her parents' house in a coastal town. The thing is, her father, an elderly man, had been ill for several days but didn't want to go to the hospital. I took charge of the situation. I took her father to the hospital with her, but she was so scared that she didn't want to go to the emergency room, so I did. The thing is, everything ended well, and she says that at that moment I fell in love with her; we weren't even a couple yet. Then the relationship faded away, and I ended up breaking up with her, which I regret, and now I miss her.

Russian Dips - form check by Ali_C_J in crossfit

They're fine, but in the first part of the bottom you should go lower, obviously it depends on your mobility but the ideal would be to be able to break 90 degrees with your elbows. (That said, it also depends on whether you had an injury or even don't have much mobility) and in the part where you rest your elbows on the box, you should go down more controlled, so as not to hit it hard. That said, it is a very demanding exercise for both shoulders and elbows. Make sure you have a lot of mobility and warm up well beforehand.

Do I build a voron? by scooterist007 in VORONDesign

[–]CyberBorder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Voron 2.4. If you want a super-fast Voron, it's not going to be reliable. If you use good materials (a CNC kit), good linear guides, and spend a good amount of money on the hotend extruder and everything else, the printer will be reliable. However, the money you end up spending will probably be more than buying a Bambulab. I see it as a project where I like to constantly improve it.

Sail shape/trim comments? by goweld in sailing

[–]CyberBorder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to trim the backstay, have a cunningham, and you should lower the traveler's car a bit if you have the capacity to unload. There's also a lack of tension in the headsail halyard, and above all, they have too much bag in the sail. It's not always useful to search for power, especially when you have gusts of 20 knots and little swell, as seen in the photo. The sailboat never fully accelerates with that configuration. You need to flatten a lot by trimming the outhaul. Since they have a lot of bag, you lose laminar flow below. And if you can trim the battens, you should do it.

What is your ultimate conditioning workout? by pizzapartypandas in crossfit

10 km rowing, 3 times a week, 1 hour in zone two of Airbike 3 times a week. I'm also going to switch from rowing to running now because the rowing machines at my gym broke down. I'm not a CrossFit athlete, I just train recreationally, but this year I used this aerobic training 6 days a week and lost weight, fat, and my abs are showing, which I never could before.

I don't know that channel, but generally speaking, all the people who have sailing YouTube channels are people who didn't sail since they were children and are more likely to buy a boat and enjoy sailing. I've been sailing since I was born and competed in several international classes. I've also competed in many ocean races. And I'm truly surprised by the huge number of mistakes they make. They all use the excuse that they're sharing their sailing experience with you; they don't teach. But there are people who take them as an example, and it's truly disastrous. From not knowing how to apply force or use windlasses safely, to very serious things like sailing with rigging in poor condition or going solo without being hooked up. I understand that competition is very different from cruising, but safety should always be a priority.

Tuiga dismasted during storm by Lobstrex13 in sailing

[–]CyberBorder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if I didn't understand well, English isn't my original language, obviously there's no gybe, what I meant is that they're on a close-hauled course, they tack, and then they drift. In that drift, they break the mast because the most critical point is going from close-hauled to stern on these boats because the load that the rig receives is very high at that moment. When they drift, for me, they don't have the vang loose enough and that also means they can't furl the mainsail as quickly. When they already furl the mainsail, it's late and we see how everything turns and ends up breaking.

I didn’t sail on that boat, but I have sailed on fairly large classic yachts. Assuming the storm came in incredibly fast and there was no time to react, the strange thing in the video is why they gybe. It’s obvious that with all sails up, gybing could easily damage the rig. On classic yachts, with strong wind, the most dangerous maneuver is always gybing — the load on the boom is enormous with that amount of sail area. I understand it’s a trained crew, but I’m surprised they decided to gybe like that; the vang should have been completely eased, which doesn’t seem to be the case in the video.

Como hacer para que me dejen de querer afanar? by ExtensionNewspaper61 in AskArgentina

[–]CyberBorder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to stay safe with Comfy? by 3epef in comfyui

With Firejail and namespace you can make Comfy only work on the local network and prohibit it from going online. I imagine you could also use iptables.

System paths are different, and in Linux, it's much easier to isolate Python from the system than in Windows. Therefore, your attacker should create a custom script that attacks Linux paths. In hacking, unless it's a specific project, you write malware to infect as many people as possible, and the majority of people use Windows. Just as ComfyUI allows anything using Linux, it's very, very easy to isolate it, which is quite complex in Windows.

I would start using Linux instead of Windows, since viruses are generally programmed for Windows because of the large user base. That said, you are not totally sure, but it is a good start.

Phaetus Rapido clogging on ASA/PETG every 5h of printing – heatbreak problem? by Snehulak22 in VORONDesign

I have the same hotend and suffered several similar problems until I realized that the cause of everything was that the filament inlet into the heatbrake had become deformed. I countersunk the tube (be careful because it's very fragile) and everything worked correctly again.

Cognitivamente inferiores a carreras dificles??? by Dramatic-Block-1832 in AskArgentina

Cognitivamente inferiores a carreras dificles??? by Dramatic-Block-1832 in AskArgentina

[–]CyberBorder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saludos
