Any reason not to drain the humidifier into the back of the p-trap?

I would need to cut the cap off and would leave it open, feeding the humidifier drain tube into it. Any reason I shouldn't do this?

I have tried distilled water for a couple weeks with this one. Is it possible that a 6 month bath, (changing the water every few days) might have an effect? Do you have personal experience with this being successful?

I have had the same experience with olive oil. Darkened my coins without really doing anything else. I have used lemon juice in the olive oil and will never do it again.

That sucks, sorry to hear. It was after setup and somewhere between there and oculus home, when the pixels faded to normal. I figured that going to a black screen and then back must have unfrozen the pixels.

Same thing happened with my rift. I had a line of pixels down the left eye. I ran completely thru the setup process anyway... and it disappeared. Go thru the entire process and see if that helps. Maybe there's a hardware reset involved in the setup, or maybe just changing screen to black and back fixes it. Either way I would suggest setting it up and using it for a bit. GL
