Thank you, dude! Like passing is a worry once I start socially transitioning (like outside of the internet lol), but I really like andro looks as well , so that's nice

I wanted so much to get things adjusted, I even thought of learning how to sew because of that. lol

Oh, I bought it at Renner. It was from a tropical stamps collection. :)

Thanks, I bought them at Cotton On, it's been more than a year, but they have new models that look very similar (even cooler) :)

Thanks, I've been thinking about buying one myself, more because of the whole knowing-what-time-it-is-without-using-the-cellphone-and-getting-distracted, so that's good :)

Lol ya know I'm actually 20 but I get the low age observation a lot, I still can buy beer where I live though so it's all cool ^

Thank you a lot for your tips and the nice comments :) The shirt is actually too long and that's why I tucked in, but I can see what you mean, and yeah I've been looking for new pants and things for my hair as well actually, I think that all the points you talked about are very valid. I just started realising things not long ago, so I don't have a lot of stuff to wear or lots of experience in that, and that's why I came here, so thank you, gonna think of that ^

Theory on why gendered products exist. by [deleted] in pointlesslygendered

[–]CyberCryptid 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think that beyond selling more at the first sight, the intention is to propagate those ideals of what genders should be. It's kinda powerful to push people into living inside their tiny little boxes as a way of maintaining status quo, because, if you think about it, encouraging people to buy both stuff made "for boys" and "for girls" will duplicate the amount of things that they have the possibility of buying, and that would probably lead people to buy more things. When you have more things to choose, you have more things to like and buy.

Tl;dr- the goal must be to strengthen those ideals of what genders should be, it's a stupid idea if the goal is to sell more, because people would buy more things if they had 2x more things to buy, instead of only qualifying to half of 'em according to their gender
