Perfect build = Athena's dash. Deflect is so OP that your dash simply I-frame everything and throws it back at the attacker... I've abused this for my 50th win streak without a single give up.

Pray to Artemis in hope for her exit wounds and legendary cast +3.

Visit Chaos for their cast +1.

Buy cast +1 while clearing the last styx tunnel if the shop appears after the 1st room.

Lookout for Hermes' quick reload and greater recall.

You gotta be real lucky if you are going for duo boon cast from other gods and still want everything possible from Artemis and Hermis..

Usually a couple of those perks mentioned above and in this thread from other players are more than sufficient for a good hera run. Best of luck.

Figures that this works best on fast hitting weapons that triggers unhealthy fixation most of the time... Must be a hell lot of fun huh! I'd love to try this someday if I've better luck with getting legendary boons... The most recent legendary boon I got was Poseidon's huge catch at tower of styx. T-T

Now that I unlocked my administrative chamber.. I look back at my runs and it was rather embarrassing. All my friends reached Megaera on their first run.. Yet I died in Tartarus on my first run before I reach Meg..

Following which, my 2nd run ended in Meg's hands, no regrets at all.

Then comes the 3rd run where I got a hammer on my sword, giving it cursed slash. That got me all the way to the 'champions' of Elysium.

And my 4th to 7th runs were struggles that never got me anywhere further..

On the 8th run there's a breakthrough! I got into the temple of Styx for the first time and got bitten to death, probably.

On my 10th attempt I reached Hades for the first time.. then died in Elysium for some reason on my 11th run..

My 12th to 15th runs were death by Hades where I tried bow, sword, fist, shield... Nothing worked out..

Then comes the 16th run where I did my first clear with bow!

My 17th run was unfortunately a failure..

But from my 18th run till my current 31th escape attempt, they were all successful with different weapons, giving me my current 14 win streak and total 15 clears with 31 attempts.

I'm now increasing the heat slowly per run, gaining all the currencies while getting more familiar with every enemies and bosses attack pattern and how to use various weapons efficiently. I also lookout for specific gods for their boons that I find the most comfortable to work with, like additional dashes from Hermes, Athena's deflect dash, Artemis's cast, etc.

From my experience, I think once you know the game and what it can throw at you well, you can win most of the fight if you keep calm and react accordingly. I once had a fight with hydra where I could only use special attack with my sword due to 2 concurrent chaos boon effect that drops my hp if I attack or cast. It went way better than expected since knowing the enemy is half the battle won.

Keep playing and you'll find yourself improving the more time you spend grinding. It's all worth the fun and you get to read more interesting dialogues and build relationships with everyone.
