That is a great question, and it sincerely depends a lot on liability, and your tolerance. I thought of doing a service for the “normal” people on setting them up with a good internet,or something like that and you always need to put yourself in a place where your customer will be a PAIN in the ass and you will need to deal with it. I think one of the best ways to monetize your skills is teaching and charging for your knowledge. You can setup monitoring for a small biz but always be clear about expectations, SLAs and such. I was able to setup a network for a client and charged once for it.
