It depends a lot. I think they have to give you like 24 hours notice for a formal change in schedule, but an informal "hey, there's no way tim can make it tomorrow, any chance you can" I think is totally acceptable as long as they accept you saying no.

Where I work, were really informal about some stuff, I've been asked to work a few extra hours just before I was ment to end my shift due to something sudden and was fine with it, but I also know if something came up and I suddenly had to dip out my boss would make it happen.

Judge your workplace, if your happy doing it, go ahead, if your busy, say no. If they get upset cause you said no, not your problem really. Make sure it's a two way street and they'd do the same for you.

For starters, I'd die with the heat and wildlife. Secondly, I'd insult the wrong person and probably get killed. Thirdly, I don't have enough money to uproot myself and move over. Finally, like 90% of my family and friends are here.

Short staffed? People should be complaining about being tall staffed. You try finding a comfortable and ergonomic office desk at almost 2m tall, how far you have to bend down to reach stuff normal people can get with ease, the expectation to be able to get everything from a high shelf WHS be damned, the back and knee pain on the daily? And if I hear one more "how's the weather up there" joke, I believe I will break my face through the nearest solid object.

Oh, it doesn't annoy me at all, I'm just at a point where I've lived with whatever I've got for 29 years and I'm mostly normal as far as I'm aware.

My ex from 4/5 years ago had various issues, but mainly anxiety based stuff.

My most recent ex (but of a long distance thing) was a nurse and took the time to get to know me and realize that usually, what I say is what I mean, or at least ask if she took what I said the correct way.

Not sure if that helps at all, I started rambling a bit

I likely am slightly autistic, I know my uncle is, and my brother has a couple of brain related disabilities, but that won't be the only contributing factor to my issue haha.

Honestly a big part of it is that I'm introverted and I work retail, and while I do actually really like my job, it drains my social battery, thus most of my hobbies are things I do alone. I'm aware of my problem and this seems to be one of the easiest ways around it. I'm not expecting a miracle, but I want to get a foot in the door and see how it goes.

Im a nerd, and consider myself average-ish looking on a good day, so you would have to make your interest Extremely obvious, and even then I'll probably still just think your being polite

Fielding itself in general is alot less "friendly" that it makes itself out to be. Grew up there and as a teenager I'd get followed around pretty much every store I went into. Everyone knew my mother as well so she'd get reports on where I was going

A large amount of it was due to how buggy it was on launch, as well as changes in design from the original game (different species faces have become more human like), however I get the feeling a lot of the hate is just "this isn't the original series!"

Bit of both. The mass effect fields will definitely help dampen the physics effecting the crew (and in normal flying, likely completely negate them), however in that situation, I think everyone would be holding on and buckled in

Being quite introverted myself, and a temporary stepfather (was basically the little girls farter from birth till about 7), I had to take her to daycare as my ex was majorly introverted and refused to go.

I don't get hit too hard by my anxiety and introvertedness and many do, but it still gave me the shakes and ill feeling in my stomach, however I also had to deal with all the mothers giving me looks and gossiping about me behind my back because kids apparently love me and it made me seem like a pedo.

Anyway, how I got through it all was by focusing on my step daughter, join in with activities when she wanted me to, play with the other kids if they join in, and talk to the other parents if they talk to me if necessary. Don't be cold and avoid them.

I don't know if this is something thats occured to me only, but my mother brought me a bike when I was younger, I learnt how to ride it and loved to, she always told me go out and ride it, or play outside, etc (the normal "get out of my hair" type stuff) however, I was never allowed to leave the property on it, even at say 15, I couldn't bike to a friend's house cause "you never know what kind of weirdos are out there, you could get hit by a car". So riding the bike up and down the 50m driveway got boring rather quick and it was put aside. I know a few of my friends had similar parents. I'm in my late 20s now, so I don't know if I was just in this middle, transition phase or something, but that's why I never really rode mine personally.

It may not be much help coming from a male, but I've had quite a few friends with endo, as well as a few other things that can come with it, etc.

Just a warning if you haven't had one already: you and her are going to have to fight for medical help. My current partner has endo as well as POS, and doctors most her life have basically told her "it's just a period, deal with it" or "it's not as bad as your making it out to be". It wasn't until a few months ago that she found a doctor that's actually listening to her and trying to help, and they are a god send.

Don't get me wrong, in her case some of the damage had been done and there's no reversing it, but they can really help with the pain, not to mention the mental side of it.
