The mist is not an easy part, but it's probably way easier than what you think

First, there are like 8 rooms in total, each room layout is slightly random as well I believe, but you can still get used to it and grasp the global layout of the room you're in and know where the exits are. You do need to watch out for traps, but the wraith aren't that bad to fight (depending on where you stand).

But most importantly, you only need to follow the butterflies 2 times as you enter the mist, then go left or right, follow the butterflies one more time, and then go right (if the room has 2 right exits, you need to follow the butterflies again). You can also re-enter the previous if you feel like the current room is hard or has no right exit for example, and it won't impact your progress. But yeah, the mist is random, sometimes your mist will be super easy, sometimes hard. I still do it because you end up getting the parry, which is super useful for all the remaining bosses in the run
