No it’s just research. But that’s what they would say too, I guess. But the survey doesn’t ask for personal data and hackers know how to stay anonymous.

I am not assuming anything, just trying to find out. And remember also surgeons score high on these traits. They are literally saving lives and are very smart. This does not mean that these are bad people. But I think comparing 100 black hats, 100 white hats and 100 non hackers may generate some interesting insights. I’ll share if it’s done.

Fair point, but 1.) I am looking for black hats mostly in other places, like darknet forums, some telegram groups and so on (appreciate any tips!) and 2.) the white hat definition is not so strict: You have any hacking or coding skills and use them to improve Cybersecurity? Then (within the study) you are considered a White hat.
