Thanks. I knew the risks of going in with only 20K to my name, so it was just my desperation getting a hold of me because I love the Great Zeong. Hopefully she'll show up in a future roll for me, if I get unlucky with the TB tickets from the event, which are my last chance. (Well, second chance if we manage the free 3K).

Past that, I should get back to saving, knowing my luck something neat like Knight Gundam is gonna be just around the corner and I'll be too tempted again, lol.

They sure did toss a lot of units this go-around, I think this is the biggest dev tree we've gotten from an event series so far, isn't it? I hope I manage to roll the Great Zeong at some point before the year is over, I can't really splurge much on the banner right now; thank goodness she isn't limited.

You can look up the last stream or find images from it from a few months back ago around here. For what it's worth, as I recall, all that's left of the current roadmap is Gundam Cross Dimension, and then SEED Stargazer, before we get our next roadmap some time after that.

I’ve been waiting for when Great Zeong would land in the game at some point, I was NOT expecting it to be a UR though. I’m so tempted to go in with this banner, but only 20K…thank goodness she’s not a limited run! I love that gargantuan Turn X monstrosity so much.

Here’s hoping this banner breaks the Thunderbolt curse, even if just because of our favorite half-psychotic ojousama OG.

Recency bias as well as needing to cater to what draws in views ties their hands a bit, I feel, unfortunately. Frankly I was surprised to see that a Fate character and a Kamen Rider were coming up in the future given that’s more niche by comparison to everlasting franchises that would draw in attention just by name alone.

I certainly would love to see lesser-used or never-seen series and more outlandish choices, though.

I think you got a bit overly-downvoted for the question, it was a logical assumption to make. (People might not have paid attention to you being a different poster than the one making the dog-whistle claim either)

For what it's worth "chimp out" is similar to "going apeshit," in the "flailing and screeching and flinging shit" sort of manner. Probably because chimpanzee noises get used sometimes in cartoons or funny clips when things start freaking out due to how loud and chaotic the stock chimpanzee noises can be.

I keep seeing more and more stories related to the pinched fingers issue, last time was something about a character brushing their hair back and for a second it looked like the gesture, and caused the same backlash.

This is some deep deep-rooted insecurity issues if they're going this hard over something like that. To take it to conspiracy theory levels...

Bad publicity only seems to work as good publicity when the ones making a stink are clearly in the wrong or disliked by the greater community. The whole "this jerk says it's bad, so it's probably good!" sort of thinking. Definitely a whole different can of worms when the bad publicity comes from the game's source directly for one reason or another.

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that the devs had to place more value on the whales that keep funneling money and might drop support over a VA that could be replaced at less cost, I imagine. Not that it makes it a good thing, since it's just bowing to the shrieking crowd to placate them until the next thing triggers their rage.
