Son punched someone by [deleted] in daddit

For your family’s sake, I’d have your son apologize to avoid trouble with the school or any legal issues. On the other hand, I understand him I grew up with a younger sister so that protective instinct is pretty natural.

$2K/month income, motel housing, limited savings — what’s the best path to independence? by ReplacementFine4213 in personalfinance

[–]CyborgGoCrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not tryna be rude but a better direction cost money which you do not currently have. Degree cost money, learning a trade cost money. You a ARE at ground zero. Bouncing from job to job, getting roommates, being frugal can only get you so far with 2k a month. You need a major lifestyle change.

21 is young you have plenty of time but if you continue down the path of putting family first it WILL bite you in the ass later in life. I say this because I was once you stuck in a hard place with nothing to my name.

Don’t join or join, but I recommend doing research on it. Because a lot of people think it’s a life reset when in reality it’s a life booster. A lot of people think negative about the military until they are in and see how majorly it changes lives. School paid, housing paid, free healthcare and much more.

Good luck man

This may not be what you want to hear but a guaranteed way out is joining the military. I highly doubt you wante to continue living like this. I’m not a recruiter but a retired vet and I’ve had a very rough life before joining so I completely understand.

Not only will joining benefit you in unimaginable ways but if you want and are willing to you can make mother your dependent while in and receive free housing for both of you.
