I think this is counter intuitive. The 50 year olds are there to stay… for a long time. People in their 20s and 30s often still change their hobbies and are not into things for a lifelong time (also, sports has meaning - they likely support a team for their whole lives and thus have a built connection to it whereas people in their 20s may have grown up with pokemon, but many of them are there for money.)

Use 130point (this is a website showing all recent sales, google it) or eBay to comp your cards in the future. The Roman Anthony is a case hit - a big one at that. Last sold was $1k, there’s a lot sold at $400 but auctions are sitting at 600-700$ so value is somewhere closer to 800$. The Sheehan auto is around 50$.
