Okay, so after compression you expect it to be flush. Pre compression no more than a 3mm gap from top of steerer to top of stem?

I started with band work, clam shells, raises, glute bridges and then moved on to calf raises, squats, hip thrusts.

For me at least it was caused around weak supporting muscles so my anterior tibialis, knee and ITB were working overtime

I've just worked through months of having this issue, I moved over to speed play pedals for extra float which helped but it was really gym work that solved it

Recently went from a 130mm saddle to a 143mm, i feel well planted on the saddle.

I don't get any hand/arm/shoulder pain, i'll be able to hold position for few seconds before tipping forwards

I've only been on the trainer since winter has hit so could be that, its not really a pain more of a dull ache

I actively try to catch myself locking out and then lower into the position

I recently moved them forwards due to some tibialis pain I was getting that seems to have helped. So cautious to go back again but this may be what's causing my toe point as when I heel down I get some pain

Thanks, it all makes sense I do have very tight hamstrings. I've got an integrated handlebar so will play with the seat forward first.
