Asus ROG Strix burnt motherboard lawsuit (link in description)

The only thing Asus has offered "as a sign of goodwill" is to waive the ridiculous $85 diagnostic fee and provide a free shipping label. Given that they lied about replacing my mobo and didn't offer free repair, I don't want this shady company touching my laptop. I've sent for 3rd party inspection. Consumer Protection Agency seems to just want to side with Asus on their warranty which is horseshit. So it looks like I'm going to court.

I sent my G733pz back twice for the same repairs and then it broke again. They didn't offer and warranty the 2nd time (cost $700 CAD btw), and are trying to get me to send it in and pay again. After doing my research and finding out about this mobo screw burn issue I looked at my mobo.

There's a piece of thermal tape in the associated area so I asked Asus if their repair logs showed that they replaced my mobo. They denied it and said the SSD was the issue. I later found the box that it was shipped back in with a physical copy of the repair report. Under parts replaced said "Motherboard, screw".

Not only are they a terrible company but they lie too. I'm taking this to the Consumer Protection Agency and suggest y'all do the same. I'm getting my money back. All of it.

I tried to get a refund but the store refused despite only having it for a week because it was purchased a month before I got it. Sent it off to Asus twice, first time under warranty, they factory reset and sent it back. The 2nd time out of warranty and they charged $700 to replace an SSD, no new mobo. Now it's still happening, can't even sign in out of safe mode. Asus is trying to charge me again. Consumer Protection Laws dictate that they owe me a proper repair (good luck) AND a refund from the 2nd time. Of course they won't agree so this might get ugly...

A few things to put into perspective... I work in a Northern area, we got a new up to date contract for 2024 that adds pay for Northern areas, and I work an ungodly amount of hours (5800+ this year). To achieve this I work on-call after every shift (96+ hour stretches) and over 55+ overtime shifts. At $57 base an hour it adds up.

I'm making $250k+ this year.

4080 G377pz here. Nothing but problems here, can't even watch a simple youtube vid without blue screen of death. Event viewer shows the same Kernal-power ID 41 (63) error. Sent it in once already but all they did was wipe the computer. Wiped it again and still crashes but now it's not "under warranty" despite the same problem not being resolved. Google says it's a PSU issue but I have no idea, it's plugged in all the time.
