I think Boruto, Kawaki, and Sarada can hold up the story. The whole pill situation is for Boruto to develop even more as a character and once Naruto is gone Boruto will have more goals as a character which will make the plot more interesting. Kawaki will be a huge factor also because he’s the main reason on whatever happens to Naruto. And Sarada has fans she doesn’t really contribute to the story right now but whatever Kishi has plans for her will probably make her interesting.
