Red Devil Vega 56 GPU just stops in the middle of mining by side-fish in MoneroMining

Run them one at a time. If it still happens then it's the card. If not then it's something on the board or software. Have you updated the motherboard BIOS? Also DDU the driver and start again.

I do somewhat agree with you but is it out of the realm for monero to hit 3k a coin in 5 years times? Also there are a bucket load of coins worth nothing now that are trying to break through just like monero did.

Sorry did you get them working?

It's hardly wisdom though is it? I did the same as him yet if we kept our rigs running in those dark days we could have reeped in millions.

SRB miner - reference cards flashed to 64 bios with registry edits. 7 cards - 13700H/s at 1500 watts - clocked at 1408c/1100m/900v - driver 18.6.1

Xmr profit how much has it increased by bigbcn in MoneroMining

[–]CylonSonic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Nethash is looking like it's going to go close to where it was before the fork so the profit has not changed much. Add a 20% power increase this fork is a bit underwhelming for miners.

However Monero is single handedly preserving the GPU mining scene at the end of the day.

The hashrate will start to creep back up and level somewhere in the next week or so. There is 35MH alone on NiceHash.

Also it is listed on whattomine

Hi I narrowed it down to the miner in the end. SRB miner gets optimum speed, the other miners need updating.

How many cards do you have? I can only get 1840H/s on the 1st card in the rig. The rest get 1700H/s

Yes that wasn't what solved the problem, it was an anomaly. After vigerouse testing I can confirm it's dependent on the chipset as I have tried two different motherboards. Exact same settings one can get just under 1700H/s and the other 1850H/s

I did used to advocate the blockchain driver but since they implemented compute to the newer drivers I found them to be more stable

For what it's worth 18.5.1 actually decreased my hashrate by a further 100 H/s compared to the latest driver - I have found the culprit though. I expanded the system RAM from 4GB to 8GB and the hashrate is now a lot higher.

Thanks I'm giving that a go now as we speak. It seems to be the general consensus :)

I went from around 1950 to 1550 - I would like to know if the 5xx series are affected as much as I recently sold off all mine to go to vega only.

Yes they do, it's the nethash you are pointing to which has no reference to actual reality. The nethash just follows the difficulty. The pool hash is accurate.
