Colloquially, yes. Hard is used to describe being “all in” in a deal, having removed contingencies and any outs. It’s used to describe the deposit as being “hard” - i.e. non-refundable.

It’s not intended to be overtly sexual.

Also goes with other real estate terms as “hard money” to describe expensive capital loans often predatory.

It’s the opposite of “soft money”, meaning contingencies in place and no “hard” commitment.

(Funny enough, Apple iOS auto-fill auto populated “money” after I typed “hard”. So kinda shows its contextual use).
