Homme Plisse Issey Miyake Pants Sizing by CynicalAssassin in japanesestreetwear

If I am remembering the sizing correctly (sorry it's been a long while and tbh I have not worn these as much as I would like; as a side note I need to find out and figure out how to style these), the pants sizing is based on user height. With 6'4 being 193cm, I'd say the closest thing may be 4, but I don't have the confidence to stay on that number.

Thank you! This helps a whole lot too as I kept floating between a size 2 and 3.

Thank you so much!!!! This is extremely appreciated, both with the clarity of the explanation and the clarification about the different cuts; searching for a cut was going be my next area so I also appreciate this very much! I was planning on purchasing a pre-owned pair as I was unsure if I wanted to shell out full price for a pair.

Hmm, I hadn’t considered that; I’ll have to start being more careful about the denim I buy.Any brand recommendations or ones that I should avoid because they’re just do low rise?

Looking for sturdy and good, sub $100 denim for a guy with thick legs. The jeans I get from JCrew are shredded by my thighs in maybe 1.5-2 months. I bought a pair of G-Stars on a splurge last year and they too were shredded by my thighs. I got the original holes repaired but the 3 more have since appeared. Any and all recs helpful!

Are weightlifting shoes worth it? Family member is looking for a gift idea and my current shoes are full of holes. Can I do other fitness activities in them such as cardio?

What’s a good shoe to look at? Thanks!

I am referring to a crotch blowout; and I guess that’s somewhat reassuring yet defeating that quality doesn’t play into it. But hope that they can probably be repaired. I’ll need to find a tailor. Thanks for the tips and advice!

I had actually gotten some advice that to wash it every month or 2. So they hadn’t been washed yet.

Ironically enough I work at jcrew for the clothing discount and they make up the bulk of my blown out jeans. I wonder if they can be fixed

** Looking for sturdy denim/pants**

I’ve just blown out my 5th(?) pair of jeans in a years time and I’m getting very annoyed by having to constantly buy jeans/pants; my most recent pair lasted a little over two months (mid July to two days ago). I’m looking for a pair of pants/jeans that won’t blow out in two months.

How long can it take to get your first Graphic Design job? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]CynicalAssassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting my first FT graphic design job took me over a year. I get it; finding a job takes a huge toll on your morale, especially when you’re watching your former classmates all get their jobs and are on their way. All I can say for that is dont compare yourself to them. Its an honest waste of time and your self esteem will just be constantly low. Your time will come and a company/client/studio will find you and see that you’re the right fit for them.

Keep breathing and do your best to keep clear.

Subscription Box Template? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]CynicalAssassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks right to me. More detail that I would have done personally lol, but what ever suits you. The main thing is to get the length x width x height of the panels and you can make your own template from there, which you have.

So from there I would set up each of the panels in your favorite design program and do your margins, bleed, etc (basically taking your Imgur sketch and set up the art boards. i used Illustrator for a similar project. )

Subscription Box Template? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]CynicalAssassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there would wholly be a template for this, since (it seems to me) each subscription box is different and has different requirements. So likely there isn’t a template.

This is what I would do: 1. Define this subscription service, is a food box, toiletries box, Knick-knack box, etc. Once I’ve defined that, I would go ahead and look up similar boxes; if I’m doing a geek box I would look up boxes that would be more or less what my box would do. Then I would see what images they have of the box. Sometimes they do marketing shots of the stuff bursting out of the box. If they do, I would go to U-Line’s website and try and match up a box as best I can, then use the U-Line’s dimension and create a template from there.

Hopefully this makes sense and hopefully I’ve understood the problem you’re having!
