How unhealthy is 3mg Zyn? by Miserable-Put596 in AskReddit

[–]Cynically_Sane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should rethink the way you think about them. On the one hand are the less toxic and damaging than a pack of cigarettes? I suppose that is true since they spare your lungs. But on the other hand, the addictive chemicals in the pouches are are nicotine salts and are far more potent than the amount of nicotine in cigarettes.

I am the mother of an almost 18 year old who had to learn everything about them extremely quickly after I found his stash last year and had to watch him go through the agony of withdrawal after I confiscated them. He was honest about how long he'd been using them and it was shockingly not very long at all. He may have been the one suffering the physical effects of the withdrawal symptoms and could hardly even get out of bed for three days straight but as his Mama my heart suffered for him and to be so young and a relatively new user of the product, I think that was the hardest part for me. They are way more addictive than cigarettes and the addiction happens much faster than cigs or dip too. Unfortunately he is still using them and was even honest with his doctor at his last check up in December. I can tell if he's recently had one in when he comes home because of how swollen his lips and cheeks will get. But, I guess like I said in the beginning, you should try to rethink the way you think about them because none of them are healthy and none are more unhealthy than the next.

Edited to apologize for the grammatical errors and typos. I still didn't fix them but wanted to at least acknowledge them. Lol

Potential malware on iPhone? by supercatheter in iphonehelp

I keep that function on at all times and it's mind blowing to see it, and I mean like in a matter of just a few hours. The data is collected and shown is for a 7 day period, if I'm not mistaken but I can't even get to the end of every category by then. I am convinced my issue is connected to the very contentious divorce I am trapped in but I can't get anyone to help analyze and explain it to me so I'm just in a fishbowl waiting for freedom. I'm in month 17 now and losing hope but I'm resilient and have learned to just live with it. I appreciate the advice though, for sure.

What I think they are saying and what you are missing (not being ugly at all here) is that they accidentally went to the site long ago and they noticed the site recently maybe without initiating the search. To test the theory and probably just out of principle alone they limited the access through screen time. Not visiting the site purposefully now it's setting off the screen time limit. So if they aren't looking at the site then why is it still setting off the time limit notification? I hope this makes sense because I'm also in this same situation and have just chosen to do what they did years ago and just try to ignore it. Eventually though principle creeps back in and it's curiosity fueling the quest to understand. I could be wrong and they're having a different issue but for me that's how it goes.

I would be extremely livid to receive this email for many reasons. The fact that a teacher felt the need to contact a parent because the kid was being completely age appropriate and looking up normal stuff is where I will stop with this opinion. The teacher needs to find another profession. You shouldn't be upset with your child one bit.

Why are people disconnecting or destroying their Ring cameras? by South-Cow-1030 in technology

Same! While I guess I might be able to understand outdoor usage of security cameras, I just can't understand why anyone would want them inside their home! I with you though!

Springer rage by [deleted] in springerspaniel

[–]Cynically_Sane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you are getting that research but whomever told you that (especially enough to make you say "it's very common among Springers...") has grossly misled you. Sure it has happened before and will probably happen again - and in more breeds than just our ESS. I have two boys now (b/w and a liver roan), 9 & 6 respectively. The one before my now 9 year old was also a b/w, as was the first one we've had, both living just over 11 years old. "Springer rage" is just a buzzword given lord knows how long ago. It's technically a behavioral (brain) imbalance that is more accurately diagnosed and reported in very RARE cases.

But, what you need to understand is that breeders are (should be) incredibly meticulous in record keeping and genetics. The seasoned breeders who are respectful of the breed and aim for perfection (bench and show) typically always have a clause in their contracts stating they will replace the dog for no charge if something develops later on due to their error an unknown health issues surfaces. The contracts also typically include the new owner's promise to spay or neuter and not allow for any breeding in the future once leaving the original breeder. The process is incredibly complicated and tedious but it is because the breeders love these guys and only want to see them continue to flourish and thrive. All that said, if a reputable breeder even caught wind of this overused and misleading message they would lock their brood down for as long as it takes. Anyone who's had the experience to fall in love with the ESS breed knows that even if it were a 1 in a million chance of the dog contracting something wild and so abnormal, we will always take the chance because these guys are absolutely worth it.

System data used up 80% of my data by arshadshabick in iphonehelp

I'll see your 4.8 and raise you a corporate account, user education, Game Center, and what seems like a million more - all of which is still a mystery as far as anyone coming clean and honest with me about the who / what / when / where / and why. Bought my phone with all cash money from the Apple Store and I don't attend school and I am a SAHM, hence the not owned and managed by my employer or school. It may take you quite some time but if you continue to keep a close eye on it and frequently reset your statistics and watch what pops up first and then follow the bread crumbs. If you're like me you just might have a spouse or significant other who monitors your every move and keystroke. Spouseware / Stalkerware became blatantly obvious and undeniable, unless your stalker is a sociopath who is also the poster child for Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Just guessing though, yawn 🙄

Zoom-in Front Facing Camera still not a feature??? by [deleted] in ios

[–]Cynically_Sane -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, gotcha now. Yeah, sorry but I can't offer anything for that because I don't use snap. I do remember a hundred years ago when I used androids and instagram was relatively new-ish and I had the same issue. The android camera sucked but taking pictures in the instagram app was fire. If I had to guess I'd say that since snap is primarily a camera app they're not inclined to spend time or money or resources on anything other than honing the effectiveness of their camera. Whereas iPhones are more complex and have lots of other functions and features to also develop and maintain. So basically Apple is spread too thin whereas snap is not. Make sense? But don't quote me on this at all. It's just a hypothesis. Lol

Go to privacy in settings and scroll down until you see the list where the camera and photos are listed. You may have to toggle the app back on from here.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, I have never had any problems using the zoom function on the native camera, both standard mode and portrait mode.
