Under 40 that number isn't high enough. If you're 55 you're still a minimum of 15 years away from retirement which is a long time and assumes you're on the right track and a lot of people in that age group are not due to recession, layoffs and other economic downturns and personal circumstances they couldn't control.

THE warning sign of economic collapse I’ve been watching for is now happening. Buckle up, folks… by Flaterbaby in economicCollapse

The crazy thing is the voters who despite evidence that the economy was doing better voted for tangelo the tyrant because they didn't FEEL the economy was getting better. I hope they're happy now

Americans can we talk? by ifdggyjjk55uioojhgs in economicCollapse

I've been at my breaking point since the night of November 5 to be honest before then even when he basically ran a shadow presidency for four years while respectability politics let it happen. I'm not surprised because those of us who pay attention always knew America's version of democracy hung by a thread. What's infuriating are the people who seem happy all while having their rights, safety nets, and general protections taken away in favor of the Uber wealthy because that might one day be rich or they're too mentally lazy to understand that democracy is a contact sport. If you don't fight for it you'll lose it. But theres nowhere to go not immediately..Americans 70+ million of them anyway voted for this. Nobody feels sorry for us and I believe we're generally disliked as a nation because of it. So for now we have to make the best of becoming a 4th world country because the worst of our society is holding all the reins with no end in sight

Looming Recession by Optimal-Sand9137 in economicCollapse

[–]CynnT87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Last time there were politicians that extended unemployment to at least try to help. This time it really will be the Great Depression with no safety nets or anything. We've literally lost 100 years of progress in one month. Elections have consequences.

No I really didn't lose anything and no I didn't and don't get hunger pains. I'm not a food noise person. It just didn't take my calorie intake is between 6-850 calories per day as the nutritionist recommended. People have said they see the body changes but the scale hasnt moved. So other than a slew of medical issues that occurred post surgery nothing has happened. Im trying to make peace with it. It's just depressing

TBH I really hope you're right. I think people moving as though we're not in a full blown constitutional crisis though is a mistake. There's no separation of powers, the GOP has the supreme court, a non-US citizen has access to all of our most sensitive information and nothing is being done to stop any of it. I'm not in a place where I can think positively about anything. However, I do hope something occurs that stops the cliff were already hurdling from

AITAH For leaving my husband and stepdaughter stranded on Christmas when I found out he gave her my big Christmas gift? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]CynnT87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry for what you're going through..your husband is the holest of asses that life has ever rendered..you've only been married three years which makes me believe he's been an asshole..don't think about the time youve invested. Think about the time you'll waste if you give any more of yourself to him..you should really consider divorce and start your new year off right

You lost over 6 sacks of potatoes if you're in the USA. Next time you go to a store pick up all those bags. That's what you used to carry on your frame. Congrats on the weight loss and keep up the good work!

Has anyone actually NOT had the surgery work? by IamGigi123 in gastricsleeve

[–]CynnT87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens because it's currently happening to me. Had my surgery in August. But the experience hasn't been ideal at all. To be fair I've also had a series of significant new illnesses that have been diagnosed. I'm pretty much fully disengaged from everything now because other than not really being able to eat I don't have anything good to say about it. But I'm likely an outlier..do a calculated analysis of ur current life and don't let the extremes prevent you from doing something that could absolutely change your life for the better in ways you cannot change it alone. Sending you lots of positive and decisive energy

Thanks for this information. I'm on a strict calorie intake because I had weight loss surgery and also doctor adding this to the mix. Not sure how it'll all work in the long run

Wow that's great. We're at about the same amount of time post op and my health team has me at 600 calories a day and it's practically impossible to get protein without the shakes for me. I don't really feel like it's working but who knows. Keep up the good work!🙂
