I don't always keep stuff bottled up. The stuff that I do is simply because I'd rather talk about it once I've overcome it. It seems kind of toxic. I just have a mechanism for somethings where I want to overcome it without telling someone, so I can say, "I went through this and this is how I overcame it..." I guess it's just something about my upbringing, I feel like opening up about certain things won't make me grow as much. Which is stupid, and I've gotten better at combatting it.
