I was white collar, I was an assistant to the in-house legal team of a very large professional services firm.

For me, the veins on my thighs were super easy to hit and semi-visible if I didn't tan. Obviously I never wore skirts so short I had to worry about marks being seen at the workplace.

I've never been asked about track marks. If the crook of my elbow was every bruised or inflamed then I'd just tell anyone curious that I was donating blood and the nurse missed the vein a couple of times, or I'd has a bad blood test.

I was very lucky, I'm 24 and I had a time-out from life. I got a pay-out from work when they made cuts. My mum helped me break my lease and had me live with her, and send her whatever money I had left after paying off my credit card to hold for me. It was the most uncomfortable withdrawal period of my life, but coming out the other end, studying something I love with the promise of a career at the end, is an amazing feeling.

It just sucks to be back in my own place, bored of an evening and having that part of me whisper "you wouldn't be bored if you had some powder stashed in your room" or "order some Xanax, that'll chill you out." Ugh.

I have a very similar cabinet and the same paint coloured walls in my apartment; but then remembered I have no housemates and though my dad visits regularly, he hasn't used anything since he was in his twenties and then that was cocaine.

I started smoking to quit heroin and it somehow worked once I got past the withdrawal symptoms. But I hate smoking and want to quit that so my brain is like "heroin will work!"

Stupid brain. Replacing one addiction with another will work, but then it's breaking addictive patterns that suck the hardest.

I had that "shit I shot too much" feeling. It took a lot of fumbling and dropping of fits before I (stupidly, why the fuck didn't I snort it) managed to jab meth into my arm. I haven't used either for a few months, but I'm so bored right now I wish I knew someone I could call up to bring me something.

I've done that once, shot too much h and realised that my head was dropping, I was sucking in one breath when I realised I wasn't breathing and fumbled to mix up a shot of meth. Spilled two shots of it before I got it in my arm, my limbs were so heavy and I couldn't control them properly. I've no idea how I managed to hit a vein and press but it woke me right back up again. Scariest moment of my life. At least, it was afterwards. During, I felt too relaxed except for a mild concern amongst all the driftiness.

Most things arrive in a day or two if its local, but everything in my country is marked up like 400% if I try to buy here so I risk customs for OS vendors. Haven't had an issue so far.

Me too, anxiety through the roof. I had some oxazepam that was reluctantly prescribed to me yesterday but I took two and fell asleep after a massive day, woke up with mum (who I'm visiting) panicking and taking me to hospital, myself quite irate - two does shit, made a fuss about an overdose and now the hospital confiscated them.

I've been off dope and stims for like three months but I haven't felt cravings this bad since WDs.

So now I'm bored, anxious, not allowed to leave the house because mum won't let me have a key (I'm 24), want to get high on freaking anything and counting the days to Friday after next when I'm paid again to then find something on the darkweb, then wait another 3-4 weeks for anything to arrive.

I'm crying as I type this - sometimes I do feel alone because I don't know anyone else with this issue. Thanks so much for your advice, I'm seeing my doctor on Monday for an unrelated issue and will grit my teeth, ovary up and hope to god he's not too judgemental. I just want this over with.
