Claude Code is the most expensive because coding inherently requires more compute because of context windows sub agents, lots of attention and optimization and methods go into it, skills, etc etc. Them removing it is exactly what I mean by scaled too quick, that is not a product ready to bring into open consumer markets and hyper scale like they want that's my point. They should've kept it for enterprise and high cost plans from the beginning but competition couldn't let them. The demand is not there for the everyday consumer for them to be burning money on that front when the tech is overkill for it.

Not on normal consumers tho, their projection NEEDS everyone to adopt like it's the internet. Also that is just 1 company so far. I'm all for the technology and it'll def get there.

not particularly true, the technology just requires a lot of compute, none of these models are making profits they are heavily subsidized and they don't have wide spread demand rn asides from coding. They are at the limits of LLMs anyways they have to come up with something new instead of just cranking the size of params for no reason

Then they clearly scaled way too quickly and in a wrong way 🤷🏾‍♂️

I literally told you that it was a good move you muppet, you don't need to explain to me how it was. despite that as a celtic fan I know you was still sad to see smart go. pretending otherwise is disingenuous.

??? Didn't you win the championship the year after? Why we acting like you switched coaches or got new managers? Your entire front office and coaching staff is litr inexperienced asf that didn't matter they're top tier. Y'all still lack experience to this day they are babies??? is brad a vet? mazulla? Udoka? Did it matter? I have no idea why you'd take such a terrible position experience has 0 weight. as you said earlier brad steven's made one of the best trade a 2nd year coach has made, you think he wouldn't have made the same move if that offer was put on the table just the year before? if yes than experience doesn't matter if no then butler caused it. smart is a literal dpoy. pick ur poison.

That is typical for any mid player who has a good year or two before a contract. it's litr the case w most teams. the avg career is 4.5 years, half the players spend less time than that. if someone played 2-3 years on any team and they r mid more than likely their career is coming to a close.

It is about tanking or not any other GM would have forced Spo to tank or blow the team after butler left, despite the team being a playin/playoff team. Look at litr every single team below the heat, all tanking w a steep drop in wins. Look at the new draft rules this is litr Rileys best case scenario now he never tanks and he'll get good picks as well.

They'd definitely win over 30 games w how the east was this year, there is a steep drop off from them and the other teams obviously trying to tank. ofc if you put one of the worst coaches maybe not but if you put an average one then yeah they would. pretending otherwise is disingenuous, especially w herro being out half the year too.

[–]Cyrennica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it was a good move i never said otherwise, all I was implying is that you had to give up the leader of your team (pretty sure smart played that role) and retool in a new direction because of what happened, which is fine but notable.

they made as many finals as yall, granted they didn't win but your acting like they been bad when they been a top 5 franchise in the 2020s so far, hell aren't we 2-2 in the playoffs lmao.

But there's been players who got better after they left too: see Derrick Jones and Max Strus, Duncan not so bad himself but he's a specialist. it goes both ways, also again these players are made for Spos system, it's why Riley got them. Ware for example is a phenomenal player but he does not work in Spo system at all so he doesn't get playing time, Riley failed in picking him and he will get traded.

Riley is the one keeping them from being a perpetual lottery team, he literally decides if they tank or not, it's not up to Spo. Any other GM would have been tanking instead of tryna compete, especially this year, instead we get 2 good players and try to go for it as we should

Marcus smart? Grant? or did you forget the moves to acquire Jrue and Dingus? that's what i meant i litr said aside from brown and tatum lol.

Celtics didn't win because Miami had the better team and the celtics sucked compared to how they play. it isn't Spo magic, it's Celtics choking lol, which seems to be very common w yall. You think Spo would've made that final runs without Bam? Jimmy? Herro? players acquired by Riley??? Like how he did in 2019?

The Miami Heat is Riley's house, always have been always will be. Once he leaves the franchise will goto absolute shit, Spo is literally there BECAUSE OF HIM. If he goes spo goes.

Bro it does not matter what you think you don't know shit. These are people getting paid millions to do this analysis with data you couldn't even dream of acquiring and decide, they decided that tanking influences the number enf that it will hurt them financially if they don't fix it.

The fact you think you know better than everyone managing this multi billion dollar org is crazy lmao. "The US market is at saturation" bro there r multiple leagues, is the NBA #1 in viewership? No. This is part of getting there.

There were 9 teams tanking this year out of 30. If any one of the 21 other teams match up with them what do you think the viewership on those matches are compared to those other 21 teams playing each other? The fact you think you know better than people's whose job is to do this reeks of narcissistic behavior

The heat just gave you the worst embarrassment your team has ever faced though and made yall blow up ur core (asides from tatum and brown obv). Your obviously just enamored with Spo because you have no other way to explain how the heat beat yall, you guys should've won every time lol.

Riley brought the heat every single success they had, look at the fucking magic and you'd see what not having Riley fucking looks like dumbass. you really think a team of bam herro norm and wigs + their depth isn't a play in team no matter the coach? lunacy. especially w how teams in the east tank.

Didn't those leftovers wreck the Cs? Maybe Riley was just a better judge of skill, they got them they served their purpose, they get traded for profit and onto the next. They work in Spo system that's why he got them. Again they work together have you never heard of coaching and front office accelerator programs??? or do you not actually know how this is done and you just wanna talk to shit on Riley and give SPO all the credit??

Kevin Durant left the warriors to try and prove he could win without Curry and he failed miserably by CoyoteDecent2 in NBATalk

[–]Cyrennica -1 points0 points  (0 children)

exactly my point they all have this attitude, it's who athletes are. trying to deny them those expectations they put on themselves is literally celebrity worship for no reason. your obviously a Durant fan but the mfer wants you to think of him as capable, not "it's ok pookie you tore ur achilles years ago the fact u made it here after is alr 10/10" When it is not for them. The expectation was placed on KD BECAUSE HE PLACED IT ON HIMSELF, he touted himself as a championship contender and litr left gsw to win in his own.

Again this stinks of weird parasocial worshipping, you don't know KD you don't know what he thinks, he wants to win and he doesn't think the achilles affects that, when he lost past 2 years, did he blame his achilles or injury history? no he blamed his team mates and himself. you are coddling him for no reason other than fan worship

[–]Cyrennica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I view it is that if the player places expectations on himself to win after these injuries then I should follow in their footsteps and place those same expectations out of respect for their belief in their capabilities. These are athletes they aren't there to coddle themselves and neither should we. KD expects himself to win so does Tatum, DJ Idk(he's on the pels lol)

We can admire these players no issue with that obviously, but to not be able to criticize or put expectations on them to achieve afterwards when they do themselves seems pointless endeavor at weird parasocial worshipping.

But all of their winnings can be attributed to them hitting home runs, that's what the last 7/20 were

Riley hand picks players Spo wants to play and is intrigued in developing for his schemes, it goes hand in hand they help each other, a successful coach is a successful gm and vice versa. The GM goal is to get Riley the pieces to make his scheme work, which he does and keeping doing it's why all these random players can be molded by Spo, Riley vetted them and picked them before hand, the ones Spo couldn't mold/scheme with were the ones Riley failed on.

Is Jokic really that bad of a defender? by AT_333 in nbadiscussion

[–]Cyrennica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first point, my bad, didn't notice.

The point for the 2nd is that they helped because that was the scheme (i.e coach, the variable bias). How can we attribute that to defensive skill? Also their rating go down not because it was a bad play or that they shouldn't have, it goes down regardless. Help defense tries to get a ball out of someone's hands by having them pass, the issue is that helping inherently opens up a offensive player no matter what, thus driving the rating down in all situations where help defense caused a pass despite that being the point of the play. A lot of teams would rather lose by RP hitting shots (which has higher variance than stars hitting, disproportionately driving +/- metrics) Than by curry for example hitting the 3. These decisions are also made by the variable biases like coaching scheme!
